Chipping is due to not putting enough clear coat. Clear coat is importent

Man, this looks great. I got a 99 civic coupe, silver, not sure which type of silver though. Tryin to imagine how it would look if I did this little mod to em, they all look really nice, good job guys. If you got any advice on whether it would look nice or not, im open to criticism, thanks, and great job guys.

I've got another question... what is the best method of removal for the tint and clear coat. I figure i'll have to re-apply the tint at some point. would paint thinner work?

if you use paint thinner it will make the red on your tails all foggy like old headlights. maybe try "oops" they sell it at auto zone for like 5$. depending on what kind of clear you used also some might be too think to come off. just do it right the first time

all you have to do is take the carpet off behind them and undo the screws. but make sure you keep the sealer thing if you forget it or fk it up you will get water in your trunk.

did mine...kind of messed them up a lil bit but i did my tycs, gonna use them for a while and then i might decide to do my oem tails. looks good still. i ran out of clear so i could only put two coats on. i did it outside too and had a real small bug fly in it and get stuck so thats why its messed up but still looks good. great diy.
