Ok, Ive searched everywhere on this forum and found nothing, so here are my questions. I have never changed my own oil before and I want to start doing it. First off, what is the best tool to use to remove the drain bolt? I tried once with a socket wrench and the thing wouldnt budge. Next, do I need to use a special wrench in order to get the oil filter off? Or can I use my hands, Ive seen techs do it. Otherwise everything else is ok, I just need help with this, thanks.

17mm socket wrench. Its only 33 ft-lbs, shouldn't be that hard to get off. I always just spin the oil filter off with a rubber kitchen glove. Just helps for grip.
