dh racing is expensive and not out yet, i can get a aem tru power pulley kit for like $140
ok well i changed my crank pulley already and i never really notice a gain because inever knew that the stock crank pulley was so light its not more than 5 lbs unlike previous civics where they are much lighter, so i was wondering if the alternator pulley and power steering pulley are heavy compared to the aem and do you have to use smaller belts

kit includes comprehensive instructions, performance belts and AEM decals. Key Features: Oversized pulleys reduce power required to drive accessories for more horsepower at the wheels Properly sized replacement belts

belt size must be larger to compensate for larger circumference of each pulley.

if you are running subs and stuff like then then dont get pullies there is no need the purpose of pullies is to be smaller and easier to rotate thus freeing up hp, so its not worth it if you have subs and stuff, but im waiting for dhracing

doesnt seem right to me, all the after market pulleys I ever bought for my civic, mustang or my nova were always bigger and came with bigger belts to slow down rotation speed and decrease parasitic loss.

I bet any aftermarket pulley will give you some sort of gain, or else they wouldn't make it. For sure you will get throttle response, but I don't know about HP. No company would make pulley's if they weren't going to be an improvement. Read the reviews on the AEM pulleys, they are saying that it is the best bang for the buck.

DH racing.. supposedly says it adds close to 20HP but you lose you A/C and PowerSteering in return.... but they are not expensive... actually they are quite good with their pricing on most items... but yea when they come out with more pulleys besides the one they have now... I'm definitely going with DH racing... good company ... I LIKE EM!

if your not running on the track or places that have regulations cant you just get an optima battery to kind of counteract it and make more charge, if your running a 1000 watt system, why get pullies?

the pullies dont provide more power; they take it away from your sound system. The entire point of the AEM pullies is that the outer diameter of the pulley is larger, and also it weighs less. If the outside speed remains the same, and it gets larger, the speed of the axel decreases, so you use less of your engine's power to drive accessories, thus you have more HP to the crank and to the wheels. That's the point of replacing the accessory pulleys.

WHen replacing the crank pulley, its the opposite. It drives everything, so if you make it smaller, then it will be spinning slower (decrease the outer circumference while the speed on the axle remains intact).
