yeah, if ya don't use your A/C now and again it'll bung up...so if you do this mod, don't forget to run your A/C once in a while..

this trick really does work. I wish I had found this about a year ago. It took me about four tries to get it to work. I found that the key needs to be in the position just before it starts not the first accesory position where just the radio comes on the one after that where all your guages and everything come on and just hold the buttons and start. Neat trick

to turn it off i went to my honda dealership and they have their "special way" to override everything what they did for what i saw staring thru the window of the lobby was they turned the middle knob to"all the way cold" and the bottom knob to"alll the way off" and then with the car off held down the ac button and the recirculation button. then after holding them down for like 4 seconds they turned the car on and continued to hold them down for 10-12(at which time they were blinking) and then they let go of them..
now when i turn my defrost on i can either have the ac button on or off whatever i want.

Thanks For the information I took a break from work to try it because I have been looking for a hack for that problem for ever And I though that I was going to use a toggle switch or something of that means. I think that hack is f**king weird why would honda make it that way I guess for people who what that gone and then they can charge them all kinds of money to do that for them. I just want to know where you found that out. i thought it didnt work on my car, i saw this a while ago and tried it back then and it didnt work, so i tried again today and i figured it out.

after about 7sec, my 'air cir.' light started blinking for maybe 5 times then the 'ac' light came on and the whole thing was done.
the car needed to be started in order to have the whole proccess start. just for the peeps that wanna make sure it works, start the car :-D

Alright, I'll try again tomorrow.

I'll tell you what I was doing, maybe I was doing something wrong.

- put key in, but didn't start car
- turned temp to full blue, and turned off vents
- held A/C and Circulation button for 10 seconds
- turned key, starting car
- waited counted to 15
- nothing

1) Have the car turned off.
2) Turn the "air condition position" knob to the left all the way (counter-clock-wise).
3) Hold the "back seat air circulation button" and the "a/c" button "DOWN". (don't touch the "defrost" button.
4) Start the car with the "BUTTONS" held down, and wait for 7 seconds.
5) All done. You can turn the "A/C" off and on now.
