Were you at last weekend's meet? I'd love to make a meet some time but I won't be driving my car for approximately 2-3 weeks. If you wanna know why... go here.
out of curiosity, does anyone in norther california actually do custom work? seems to me when i went to the last meet, it was a bunch of people who added bolt ons, or paid shops to do all the work..... noone really seemed to be into good *custom* work......
i am down..just gotta know when ahead of time so i can get tha day off or sumthing.. (925)550-2804, if i dont answer, leave a message..it just means i'm in class or at work.

That post would be an offense to Bill. (OverTheTop). Talk to him. He's done the most custom work on his car more than anyone else and no one even compares. What kind of good "custom" work do you mean? You want a custom molded body kit? Custom made steering wheel taken from a space ship? Custom strobes? Custom fog lights? Custom rocket launchers with custom switches? Hehe, just be specific. I'm more inclined to learn how to put shyt on myself than to pay extra to have a shop do it. I'm here to learn.
sonic, from what i was able to tell, over the top actually didnt do any of the work on his car, he paid a shop to do it. spent a good deal of time complaining about the "pisspoor" job his shop did cutting his bumper. as to how he feels about me, he already thinks im a "hater" so im over his attitudes toward me. Im sure he would have treated me much diffrently at teh last meet had he known it was me that was there.
as far as custom work, even the cuts on his bumper i would consider custom work, but when i say interest in custom work, i mean interest in actually doing custom work, not paying a shop to have it done. i was dissapointed at the last meet, not by the poor turnout (whosyourdaddy tells me it wasnt one of the better meets) but by the attitude of the members. its not a bad thing, just different ideaologies. I was hoping to find others that share my own attitude, and came up short.
its this kind of attitude that probbaly branded me a hater by over the top, but i just dont share the I/H/E/strutbars/springs/wheels/EX is the best/lets go streetracing after the meet/sucks you dont have ABS/sucks you dont have air conditioning/I think that screwing in a bolt-on is custom work ideology, im more of the tear it out and take a look at it/mess around with it/try to build my own parts/get my own hands as dirty as possible kind of guy, i didnt see much of that at all at dave and buster's.....
