Man..... I'm piss yall my engine in gone.
Story so here it go last week I called the dealership n told them my call have alot of problems like
1. car won't start up every now n then
2. lose power n torque when driving
3. car shake very bad when driving n idling
4. losing alot of oil
so last week while driving my car to the dealership to get it check out my 2003 civic died n shut off on the middle of the freeway. "DAMN"....... I was piss.
Then after 1/2 hour later the car started up so I drove to the dealer, just when I pulled up to service it died again.
Here comes the bad news Honda called me today and said my engine overheated n it 's require a new engine.
# 1 they said I had no coolant in my engine at all, which is B.S
#2 due to I have a aftermarket intake they said i have a 50/50 chance of get a new engine which is so B.S <------ so for comment 2 if I don't get a new engine warranty I'm going to use The MAGUSON-MOSS WARRANTY ACT on then which is on http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/...s/warranty.htm
Man..... this suck guys
ANY SUGGESTIONS IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
PHIL <----- JDM EM2 ....
Update 2 words F@CK HONDA
They said it's my fault due to the coolant, so I call Honda Motor Inc., Co
n they said they they will open a case so I guess I'll just have to wait so I called BBB and FTC they said they will look into this too, wish me luck guys.
Honda Motor update they said NO!!! they won't warrant due to I had a accident in the past, and they said " due to your accident before your warranty in VOIDED. FU@k Man... that's it B.S..... I swear Dealership r SCAMS.
I called AAA today and they said thet are going to send someone to Honda to check out my car, My hope is back up

Did you say 2003 civic? Man that sucks if the engine blew already. I guess they're saying the coolant was all gone, which caused the engine to overheat. There is no way you should even have to worry about checking fluids on a brand new car. I've never had to refill it.
Don't worry, you are getting a new engine under warrenty for free. An intake has NOTHING to do with coolant or the engine overheating. If they don't take care of you, call the main headquarters and complain to them. Or just try a different dealer if you have to.
dealers will try to swindle their way out, CAI has nothing to do with coolant whatsoever, they just dont want to fork out the loot and labor its going to cost them for a new engine, for a 2k3 i would call that a lemon, get a whole new car
If they refuse to pay get an attorney that specializes in Lemon Law. They will either have to repair or buy back your car, and pay you back your down payment, full attorney fees, and ALL monthly payments made so far. They will deduct for mileage, try not to let them dikk you on that cause they will try. Per mile fees should be no more than 10 to 15 cents per mile that your car has. And No, A cold air intake does not void your warranty unless that is what caused the damage in the first place, which I doubt. Let em know if you have any questions on this subject.
Don't you guys remember that exact same thing happend to me on my 2003 civec ex 1 month ago! basically I caught it before It got that bad tho because my temp gauge was WAAAAAY on H as in "Hey stop now I'm overheating!!" but the cause of the problem on my car was in fact the SRS AEM intake system that I had someone install. The filter part was rubbing on one of my upper heater hoses and I ended up having fixing it my self it cost about $40.00 in parts and a half hour of time but now I'm trying to find all the parts for my original intake so I can take that shit out it is pure garbage and it really didn't do anything recoginzeable to the car so my advice would be never do that again. Unfortunalty it probably is to late for you to fix that I wish it didn't happen to you I'm so sorry to hear that and I know what that must feel like that's why I'm gonna get rid of my car by summer and promise my self to not tamper with any part of the powertain.
^^ Youre going to let something that minor stop you from modifying your civic? Just be more careful and you shouldnt have any problems. Just my 2 cents

Phil was using "the juice" and his engine blew jp, but common, an intake is the best they can do? damn...that's wack. fight it phil, that's an easy win, it'll just be a matter of time. that's plain stupidity, bring in a certified mechanic to look at the car n shyt or to go to Honda and tell them their idiots.

If there is darkness there is light!, don't worry men everything that happens has a purpose, this problem of yours will pass away soon........ AND TELL THE DEALERSHIP TO SCREW THEM SELVES!!!!!

Actually it technically was not completely your fault.
You're at fault: ONLY for ALLOWING someone else to touch your car and they did a shitty install which could've severed the life of your engine.
You're not at fault: Because the installer did a shitty job. Shitty installation = shitty performance. You run less risk doing it yourself or checking the install yourself, but if one is gonna be that anal you might as well DIY mods.
Just kidding I had an AEM CAI on my car with DC headers and lowered.
I burnded up the synchros in the tranny and they told me that it wasn't under warrenty.
I told them that is B.S. and said that i should call my lawyer and BBB .
They quickly gave me a new tranny and a new clutch since it was all apart.
2 months later I broke the front motor mount..brought it to the dealer.
Droppped it of and they fixed it no charge no questions asked.
what part of north cali are you in? pm me for more help

just park in front of yur favorite High School, (I would pick Richmond High) and leave the car there for a couple hours, leave it un-locked "forgot to lock it" and also forget that there is a spare key in the glove box, ......
