Does any one know what is the dB (decibel level) of RS-R Mag Exhaust? I tried their website and even sent emails on their customer support, but did not receive respond.. So If anyone have factual sheet or a link that leads to dB level of RS-R Mag exhaust it would be grateful.
P.S. my RS-R Mag muffler is on 2004 Civic

i still have mine. its usually not loud enough to bother me, but its getting pretty noisy in its old age. on longer drives 30 mins+ it gets extremely loud. theres no resonator either which doesnt help things. i know alot of place have a db meter you can check the sound yourself. but it will vary based on driving conditions, temperature, and rpm.

PM me if you know companies that are hiring.
Well.. last week, i got pulled over for speeding + loud muffler... So im trying to contest this by Trial By Written Declaration, but i need factual sheets. So is there any shops or places where they can measure my muffler and i can use that to prove that my muffler is not over 95dB?
just visit one of the instection stations and say you need exhaust noise level metered. they will give you a paper with the printout for court (assuming you pass)

u needa go to a state ref and get it done, only then can u show that ur DB level is legal (if it is)

Ok guys here is the update on the muffler issue.
Well today i went to the state ref and got my muffler Db level checked.
It came out to be 97.8 @ 4725 RPM....
so I guess my options are limited now..
Either change back to stock (Which i DONT have), or idk..
I heard if you put steel wool in the piping, the sound become less noise.. But I not sure about it.
any help or suggestions?
wait but arent they supposed to check it at a lower rpm like normal driving around 3k? or do they just get the highest reading and give you that i guess... so okay. i heard about the steel wool but never really tried it out. there is a large tube in the muffler that you can stuff the wool into and still not have it visible so long as you dont put any in the tip. i havent tried it cause i was unsure what grade of wool to use, they have a bunch of different types but i imagine something with medium mesh should work. you want to pack it in but not too much or youll have other problems. you want to restrict the flow more, but not too much. also you need to make sure it stays in the pipe without blowing out. so you gotta stretch it out a bit so it stays where you put it. i can see it doing something tho and better than taking the exhaust off.

That's what i thought too.
I mean who drive around 5k rpm??
I drive around 2-3k rpm..
So imma visit different ref station next week.
I dont wanna switch back to pienne wienne st0ck muffler..
Plus i dont have stock... -_-;;
Also is it regular for ref stations to rev that high to measure the dB level?
I mean, if they rev that high, stock mustang gt would be over 95 too...
does any one have police buddies or people who know this kind of stuff?
