So, years ago, I traded my OEM 04-05 headlights for a painted OEM 04-05.
Kinda got tired of the gray, so I painted mine black. Here's how it came out:

Well, taking off the bumper is a piece of cake. No longer than 5-10 minutes, if not, even less lol.
The BOH.. I'd say it took about 4 hours or so.. But, I'm not sure if I started at 1 or 3 pm today. I guess anywhere between 3-7 hours??? I guess I learned from this: I think you will need little clamps just to hold the two pieces together (headlight lens and the back) while you are letting the silicone dry. I only had one and I had to kinda switch back and forth. Hopefully, I don't have leaks
Oh, I have some gloves, a ton of silicone, and some fine grit sand paper. I didn't really use the sand paper though. I have a can of primer and a can of satin black, so I'll help you out with paint if you'd like.
Just let me know when you're free and hopefully I will be able to help you out on the day you like.
