California Lemon Law

I think one of my friends has a lemon, but I don't know if it really is. He got a brand new 2003 Altima 2.5S about a year ago. He now only has about 12200 miles on the car. During these 12000 miles, he had to take the car to the dealer THREE times to get the radiator fixed due to leaking. The first two times, the dealership installed a brand new radiator. After a few thousand miles, the radiator busted again. The problem still wasn't resolved. The third time, the thermostat was replaced. So far, the car is running fine after 2 weeks since the last visit to the dealer.
Anyways, I just wanted to ask if any of you have any knowledge or experience with the California Lemon Law and if it qualifies to my friend's Altima. Thanks, I appreciate it.

i think the lemon law states that you have to have the same problem 3 times within a year or so.. and they have to by law give you a new car... i think that's it.. but don't know for sure.... so don't quote me on it..

yes ur friend is qualify for the lemon law.....and it starts counting after 1st trip to dealer. NOT date of purchase.

yea i would just drive the car...and if the problem persist...and he s going back for the 4th time...DEMAND to talk to the TOP PERSON IN CHARGE....and tell him to buy back the car....if they try to stall...then add in "2morrow im gonna bring in my lawer...then we will talk"

Do you mean talk to the top person in charge of the dealership or the Nissan corporation?
