Exclamation AEM Emergency!!!

hey there...

my name is Joey here in Orlando, FL and i am having major issues with the AEM CAI. i was wondering if maybe any1 knew anything bout the following:
1. y the hell im not getting ANY different sounds from the engine when revving even tho the intake is in finally. i have the look of AEM but DEF. NOT the power i expected...

btw, i went to the track wed. nite with 3 runs resulting...

without AEM or exhaust...i ran 16.5 @ 84mph...back in the stock days
with AEM and exhaust now...i ran 17.1 best time @ 80mph!!!

what gives...there must be some electrical issue somewhere....anyways...hit me back bro

later

Joey

i wouldn't be suprised, it seems for the d17, all the mods are for looks only, until you start cracking open the motor

I put mine on a week ago, definitely louder now, and I do
feel a little extra pull, but you have to have the pedal to the floor and
at least 4500rpm thats when it gets loud. Works better when it's cool outside
as well, cuz if its 100 outside that's not exactly cold air.
All i can say is make sure your breather hose is attached well and
make sure your clamps are tight. By the way, is it the short ram, or full one?

the only i thing i can think of is that something is in one of your pipes, or the breather hose has a kink in it.

damn dude. 15.8 is pretty respectable for a D17 i hear. u gotta EX, LX, DX, or HX??

also, now that my "kinked hose" problem is fixed, i may jus have to go bak out there soon--given the financial stability--and try my luck again. WITH NGK Irdiums..yayy
