dave, when are you doing some major interior mods?
god, i wish i have pictures of joes car now
his interior is done in velvet (sp?) and yellow. he got his racing seats and getting a lot of new stuff. his car looks good, he is only missing his yellow paint job
i really have no idea.. my next things are carbonfiber hood for the outside.. hey maybe u should sell me yours.. haha..and i want some new outside mirrors but i dont know what kinda.. im finishing the outside then starting on the inside
i thought i told you that you don't want my hood, it's a crappy hood
i am getting the border hood for the mister deuce
the one in the pic is the regular fiberglass one, which cost 800 dollars + 400 dollars shipping from japan
the carbonfiber one is 1450 dollars, and about 600 dollars shipping i think...
the good thing is that those hoods are build on demand, and very durable, awesome hood. and instead of just look, like the one on the civic. it actually splits the air, and designed to vent incomming air into the radiator and exit out on the top, a real functional hood. my god...
in that ticket thread, i mentioned about the stuff i learned from driving with all the guys in the couple meets i was at. it makes me realize how close we were back then... what happened to that (i still think it's tim's fault, since he moved, i lost all active communication with tampa)
Wow, your really trying to keep this alive. We must be the only state that hardly ever get together, lol. I go out to the spots around here trying to meet new people and see new cars and what not, but nobody wants to do anything anymore. I must admit, I get lazy as well. Must be something in the water or something, lol.
too many people are too lazy tod rive around the state to meet
what disencouraged me was the national meet, the furthest was louisiana, but the people from the east coast won't even take the trek to orlando. it was such a disappointment
hector organized a great meet never the less, i wish it could be as fun as back in the day. it seems to be going downhill.. REALLY fast
PPL is all up to you.
More active does not mean type more threads.
Get out there work on your cars surround your selfs with commited ppl and be commited your selfs
Meet and have a good time at it.
How had many ppl posted that they want to meet sign up for it and don't show up,and that just ain't right
Some of you do show, I have a lot of respect for you, you know who you are.
Let's do something
brake into smaller teams of 6 cars each.
make at least 3 teams.
I understand that is tough getting the cars up to par to compete but if we brake the classes like, nicest motor, cleanest interior etc. will have an incentive to the guys to focus on one thing at the time and be recognized for it.
So each team may have a car that will compete in each specific cathegory and each team needs lead person that will help organize them.
If each team will managed to meet at least 2 times and come out with their own ideas for a show (classes, locations, etc) and post your ideas.
Eventualy compete against each other for at least one time,
If you do that, I'll get us the sponsors for another show.
But not till then.
I can't stick my head out for you if you don't do it for me and your selfs first, I need to see some iniciative.
Remember we own the records of most cars participating on more that one show.
We are the only club that actualy had it's own show dedicated to our cars.
And we have the most published 7th gen car here in the US and internationaly in all media!
So be proud
Make it happen, get off the computer, and go out and meet.

but you gotta understand hector, i don't think the show scene is for me, everything is so flashy, and i hate flashy stuff. the civic has became my daily drive, money is being dumped into the mr2 for new motors and such. i may come to the hot imports night on june 13, i hope i cna see you there, maybe i cna give you money and buy you a beer
may as well forget it man after you see our ECI MR2 you will
You don't want to see the rest, it will make ya
So keep working on the Civic that's your only hope.
300hp + twin turbo etc etc etc

No shis, I was so yealous when I saw it.
I can see why ppl like MR2.
This guy is coming to the HIN this month, after I saw the Integras and civics our ECI team has I know I have a loooong way to go, still.
Hey, that's what keeps me on my hills!
Is so funny that you know this car so well.
but getting 300 hp from a turbo mr2 is really not difficult.... the engine is good for 500+ hp with stock internals, and the turbo is good for about 20psi. at 20psi, the car should be pushing about 300hp with 320ft/lb to the wheels
