Ok...well I just went to court today with my boyfriend because he got pulled over for his muffler. He has a 2001 Prelude with a 5zigen catback. It sounds very good...not too loud and not too quiet. Well apparently modifying your exhaust is illegal. You can't put on another muffler that's louder than the stock one. That's ridiculous because listen to stock Harley's, Mustangs, trucks, etc. But the cops say those are legal because they came from the factory like that....what kind of bullshit is that? Luckly the judge was cool. He even came out to listen to his car and said "oh, I've heard much worse". So he let him go. So watch out for Deputy "****head" Bender....

That's F*cking bullsh*t!!!!! god damn i'm so sick and tired of this cops harrassing us because we have imports... have u ever heard of a '91 mustang getting pulled over for it's ear blistering exhaust???? never!!!!! have you ever heard of a Harley or Indian motorcycle getting pulled over for quite possibly the loudest exhaust of all of us out there???? no!!!!!!!!!! I haven't gotten pulled over yet... but my friends have... this kinda bullshit needs to be stopped... i'm thinkin bout getting hooked up by a friend with one of those small ass camera's and if i get pulled over it gets teh officer and what he says to me... cause they harrass the hell outta you with what they say... then i'll be laughing outta every ticket (except speeding of course)
i have never had a problem here.. i have a header, highflow cat and 2-1/4" pipeing w/ no resonator and a tin can on the back.. we tested it at 104db.. never been pulled over for it though
That's the thing....there are only a few cops who actually care about that shit. We drive next to cops all the time and they don't do anything. Another thing that happened was the cop made my boyfriend sign the ticket before he would tell him what it's for. My boyfriend's like, "I'll sign it after you tell me what it's for" and the cop said"Are you refusing to sign the ticket?" What a jerk.....

well, signing the ticket doesn't really make him admit guit or anything, dave's dad can probably explain it better
Gangsta is right though, I'm bout to get one them lil cameras too, its like $100 and then Ima be real loud on purpose and let him try to harass me, shyyyt his ass be on the 8:00 News for harassing teenagers then I wanna see how often they do some shyt like that.
The only way they sound like lawnmowers is when you dont hook your car up right. And the cops are just giving the harleys and f-bodys a break......I mean come on guys its not easy being white trash we gota give them a little slack lol
