Late Night 240SX SE

As I was heading home from playing pool, I spotted a white 240SX 95-98 model merging on the road I was on- from the highway. It had a low quality dual port exhaust w/ glass packs(or sounded like). My friend riding shotgun chimmed in "run him, i bet you'll pull", I replied "i will only run, if he revs first". Well, I passed him going downhill, i had my tinted windows up so no looks would provoke a run, and running at about 35 in 4th so my exhaust wasn't too noticeable. Then about a car length ahead I heard him downshift, his exhaust came to life like a pissed off bumble bee. Then he came flying past me. I stayed behind him thinking he just got mad that I passed him. Once we got off the slightly banked hill, his break lights came on and he slowed until he was even with me. At this point I downshifted into 2nd, we were going about 40 or so. He got the jump on me and pulled slightly, but as soon as I got on the throttle I started to pull and pulled all through 2nd. After a quick throw into 3rd- I was still pulling. I shut down at my redline in 3rd. He did a fly by and waved(or flipped me off??), and pulled in front me into the turn lane a short distance ahead and got off. Although I beat him this time, I doubt I could take a 240 from a stop. Well...our weight/hp ratio is pretty close...add on the fact that they're acceleration tapers at the top end, i have a modest amount of bolt-ons, and was at the top of my gear. Anyone feel free to correct me.

240SX SE 2872 / 155 = 18.52

2k1 Civic EX 2545 / 127 = 20
