Well after all, this IS a civic site with certain members who claim to drop about 2 seconds off their 1/4 mile times, so I guess I'll just leave it at that...

And I remember plenty of times where a stock RSX-S would claim a kill on an S2000 over on clubrsx, so I guess I'll just leave it at that....
First cars aren't rated to the wheel out of the dealer. if you want to get technical the EX has 109 to the wheel stock with about 20,000 miles (superstreet dyno). I have a AEM CAI, DC Header, and Thermal Cat back and most importantly a working VAFC. bet you 1000 bux i would destroy a BASE RSX. I also have 10lbs rims which kinda help and they are 15" and ratio tire to rim exactly stock size so no speed loss. I would say that i have about 155 hp TO THE FLYWHEEL. Screw this wheel shit it isn't listed in the factory so who cares. For now. when we get serious mods then we will talk to the wheel.
So you think your exhaust, Top piece only header, and intake add 28 hp to your flywheel numbers ???? Is that what you are saying because if it is, then man pass some of that crack over here because it must be hella good to hallucenate like that.
And for the record I own a 2k1 EX Coupe, and yes it is slower than all hell and I can admit that.

hes got vafc too, with a combo with vtec, and his mods, i could say that added some power around that range
eric
I laugh, at these people "Vytlas" or whatever the **** his name is. He says he destroys the rsx and si or maybe he said beats them, I don't know. Yesterday I went to the drags out at the airport strip that they close on sundays to race. Well anyways my friend has a 2001 civic ex i/h/e on it, oh yeah and nitrous. He wanted to race. Well to say the least I beat the **** out of him, even though his nitruous was not working because his bottle was empty. He beat me before when he had the nos, but he didn't yesterday. N-e civic ex owners with i/h/e applications claiming to beat a 2002+ civic si or manuel rsx need a reality check. I know it from first hand experience the ex will not beat a rsx or si without mods other than the i/h/e.

Lets play a game... I WIN
LOL you really think you'll destroy the RSX? Get real man. A Supra will destroy an RSX not a Civic.

don;'t forget about his almighty aem cold air

oh man i forgot about how effective the fuel tunning ison the sohc, and don't forget about the vbtech controller oh wait your vtech already kicks in at like 2k, so what is there to tune?. HA
You'll destroy a base rsx? Assuming you actually do have 155hp, that's still less than 160. Don't forget about torque too. Wait, I forgot...your civic is an AMAZING 150lbs lighter.
You are basically worthy competition for a corolla, so don't even try to step up coz you can't.
Know your place in the food chain
haha g0ot the rise i wanted. you all are great. I won't destroy a base RSX but it will be VERY close lets not forget the VAFC. It actually does wonders. plus in about a moth i will have a crower regrinded Stage 2 camshaft and AEM Gear. Look out now. But i am not going to base any assumptions until i actually have it. so don't falme yet. In about a month or so you can try and flame me when i got 180 hp to the flywheel or there abouts. oh and lets not forget about the hiflow cat. yes i know it is illegal for ULEV but emmissions is only every 4 years and i will just replace it when i have to go in for it.
So thanks for flipping out. it was fun to hear you all. I will race a RSX Base in the MD area just to see how close though, i am curious!
Klutch on clubrsx drag races regularly, and he's hitting mid 14s. 14.6 to be exact. He's got I/H/E, Hondata on stock rubber. And yes, it is a BASE rsx. Personally I've only had 4 runs at the track and my best was a 15.8 with a crappy 2.45 sixty foot.
I'd be amazed to see you get 180hp out of your d17.
remember not to the wheels. I am talking factory rating - flywheel! but so would i. All the research i have been doing it says that with a camshaft, gear, bolt-ons, and a properally tuned VAFC it is possible for 50-ish HP gains. Just what i have seen but YES they aren't D17's. So we shall see. you will be the first to know!!!!
