Originally posted by mad_stylz36 Well actually if you look at the dynos on the AEM website, they have a 2001-2003 civic with a cold air with a peak gain of 8.9. That was the first thing I checked when I read his post.
it does make a difference. he gained 15hp top, which would put him at something like 120 at the wheels. vs 140 at the wheels and more torque on the RSX, sorry, he'd pull no problemo.
i remember awhile ago someone posted about the RSX that gained 15 hp from a DAC DC CAI....everyone believed that but they dont believe we can get 8.9 hp out of an AEM?! pfff...you guys are damn crazy. even with dyno chart posting.
base rsx's are slow in case u didnt notice, be it stick or auto, a civic with i/h/e could definitely pull on that car, i know, cause ive done it, plenty of times, there heavy, thats all there is to it!

Hahaha. They're slow because they're heavier by 150 lbs?
What's next? Soon you're gonna be telling me that you beat focus svts, mustangs, and 350zs
just because they're "heavy as hell" and your civic is a lightweight, nimble, acceleration monster.
Why do so many members here claim that the 7thgen is faster then the 6th gen, when in fact, horsepower output is the same and the 6th gen is lighter? From what I've heard, the 6th gen even responds better to mods.
Plus I've yet to see any member here post a dyno of your cars with I/H/E gaining more than 6whp, so please don't bull$hit yourself...
haha i started this post as a test becasue i just wanted to see if people get the impression that the rsx is fast or not. since it is just as fast as the EP civic si. From reading a prior post most members of this site thought that they could beat an si, so i wanted to see if the rsx's appereance changed their opinions.
i'd also like to extended a challenge to any one in the seattle area with a 7th gen civic who wants to challenge a civic si, or a base rsx because RSXTC has a base rsx and i have an si and we'll settled this argument once and for all vs a natuarly aspirated d17
Originally posted by akiboy7 haha this post is hella stupid. why would they post fake dyno's huh? huh? marketing!!! so idots like you will belive them and buy they're intakes
well have you ever tested it? i honestly doubt it. pay for the dyno and ill go test mine right now. and as far as the 7thgen vs 6thgen. our cars have 7 lbs. more torque than they do so thats something to remember.
sorry but i still stand by my opinion on the ex 5spd won't beat a rsx or a civic si, even with i/h/e. You never know it might be close but i doubt that still.
the 7lbs of torque your 7gen has over the 6gen aint gonna do shiet...
exactly the 6th gen respnds way better to mods espescially intake the most obvious reason being that the trottle body of the 7th gen.faces upwards meaing the intake has to make a 90 degree bend.
