There is no doubt. Damn near every SRT-4 in the country traps at 100mph. (Except mine of course, that night the boost was being cut due to humidity at the track, still ran a 14.1 though).

Do you have any idea how much power it takes for a 7th gen to trap @ 100mph?

Is there a 7th gen on this board that's trapping anywhere near 100mph?

100mph trap speed is pretty damn respectable... we haven't seen any track times at 8 pounds of boost on our civics yet... the only way we would be able to reach such a speed is with some sort of forced induction.... and from what i know... we only have like a handful of boosted civic's on this board... as far as the active one are concerned, they barely come on anymore...

how fast would your srt4 be without the turbo?? are there any n/a neons trapping 100mph?? point is... your cars were tuned to handle boost while ours were tuned for daily driving not racing... i give catalyst and sf a lot of respect for making this kit and showing other people that our lil displacement daily drivers can actually keep up if not beat the higher profile cars....

if you take the value of our cars, add a turbo kit to it... what have you got.... basically it's similar to your car as far as value and performance is concerned...

like i said before.. the only way we could ever prove this is to find the same car, same driver and run them in the exact same conditions...

Well, there is always Scott Mohler in his n/a Neon ACR with a 2.4 swap trapping at 133 and running the 1/4 in the low 10's!!

I give catalyst props for have a nice CLEAN ride (no rice) and for doing what he did to his car. I like seeing that kind off work. Too bad he doesn't live around me, cause I wouldn't mind running him for fun. You guys are really cool and this seems like a cool board.

I love that color of blue!! They are dropping yellow on the SRT-4 in 04 and replacing it with that blue. Not to mention the 04 will have a LSD stock too!!

In all my vehicles, I have only bought one automatic and pretty much hated it (2000 Jeep Cherokee) Loved the SUV, but it got real boring to drive!! I'm 30 now, so I'll probably get an auto down the road again.

I get lots remarks on the blue. It's a welcome break from all the white cars and black car's I've had. So far it's not a cop magnet like the Firebird. LOL

I think the yellow would attract cops too, like the orange GTO's back in the day. "The Judge".

Hey mrmixitup, i think you got it mixed up. The SRT4 turbo is quite a bit smaller than mine. calling it a "big Turbo" is far from the truth.

Non-VTEC + SOHC + Turbo = car that's still slow as hell.

I don't believe for one minute that you are even breaking the 15s with that car.

The SRT-4 is nothing but top end.

2.4 Liters + big turbo = gobs of top end. You cannot beat an SRT-4 from a roll with what you have, sorry.

You guys are going to have to do a lot more than that to your cars to get an SRT-4 from a roll.

I dont post alot, and I dont like to get into these stupid flame wars. I also don't have anything against the SRT-4, its a quick, good looking car. I just want to make a point. The SRT-4 is running anything from mid 14s to low 14s, depending on location/driver. I can confidently say that on 8 pounds of boost, the civic can break 14s because of its weight and gearing. I have right now approx. 130 hp because i just have the basic bolt ons, and for what it is, its a quick car. However, 8 pounds of boost is not that much, especially for a Honda engine. Our car may be SOHC, but that doesn't mean its the end of the world. With non-stock internals boosting could be mid double digits and that means alot quicker than a 14 in the quarter. AND as long as its gonna be used as a daily driver, I think gas mileage still has to mean something, and I can't remember if it was cat or redciv but one of them was getting 37mpg even after boost. In my opinion, even if at 8psi it has trouble running with a srt-4, the potential doesn't end there, and its still gonna be a kick ass car in the end.

you've been draggin' for 5 years and the best you can do is 17.8??? damn... that sux man...

lx's run high to mid 16's stock.... what mods do you have on your car ???

btw.. i ran a 16.300 at cali speedway with just cold air intake and exhaust...

HEY IAMBOO:

just because i've been dragging for 5 years doesnt mean i should be going faster in my slow civic....

and no i'm not from stupid srt forum

and this is my 4th import car...
first was a 88 mr2
then 93 Del SOL.... ran 14.7 at pomono with single cam d16z6
then 88 rx7
now my slow Lx 4dr.....

yah you might have ran a 16.3 or whatever you claim, but you ran your car at fontana which is not 2700ft elevation...also you probably didnt have a head wind of 20+mph

as for my mods.... just a AEM SR intake
i don't claim to be fast i just ran it to see how it times

i never said you didn't have a civic... i'm saying that your times should have been somewhat better with your driving experience... as far as my time goes... i ran against another 7th gen civic on this board when i did it... you could even ask him cause he was in the next lane racing me with me picking up the same time slip... swiftler was his name i think...

i'm not here to prove anything... i never said you were from the srt4 boards.... i never said you didn't have a civic.... calm down homie... hehehe...
