if you look at my earlier posts, i was running the 1/4 in 15.4 @91 mph with a 1.2 sec rxn time and a 2.6 60 ft. That was with 5 psi, my 1 3/4" exhaust and stock spark plugs.
When i installed my exhaust (2 1/2") it made a big difference. As you turbo maniacs well know. And also when i installed some Denso Iridium plugs i gained a bit of power. Also as you turbo men should know, colder plugs make for a much better spark under boost.
Also, your stock tires are much better than my stock tires.
Ive driven your cars, i know how they perform. They are sweet little cars, no doubt about that. But you are saying that there is no way a modded civic can beat a stock car.
If you are saying that, then your the one with the BS

Nice set-up you have there with a sleeper look. I've been told that Iridium Plugs are junk from various tuners and that copper is the best for turbo's. You seem to like yours. Yes colder plugs are better for boost, but not at 8psi. You need to have some serious boost (20psi) to benefit from them.
Thanks for saying its possible. I do have a vid of me running that accord, so if you want to see it heres the link. http://www.batsu.net/~boo/Accord_vs_TurboCivic.mpeg
FYI.... I came from behind because my little firestons dont like to hook. I won by about 2-3 cars. And my car is the one you cant hear (resonator + turbo + muffler = sleeper)

The iridium plugs helped out a lot over copper ones. I was using #24 denso coppers before, and they would blow out under boost. You also have to remember, our stock coils suck, so we dont have much to work with.

yea, our stock coils aren't the best either. On the dyno run in my sig, I detonated at 5500RPM <ouch> so I am looking to replace my champions (garbage) with something a lot better.
