Again, our combo on that turbo can produce over 350whp on a 4 cyl. i know because we did it. So if you say little turbo, you are mistaken. So back off unless you know what your talking about. And i know you dont know sh!t about turbos, because of everything you just said.

And since you think your RSX is soo sweet that you can beat anything
i wasn't scared at all. i told some guy to ask you...he comes back and tells me that you didn't want b/c you were low on gas. so we both lucked out i guess to give everyone a good show. the t3 isn't a small turbo, but it isn't anywhere near big. i guess your puny civic can't handle a t3/t4 hybrid or t04 like my car. i never said that my type-s is all that b/c it ain't, but at least i know that a d17 isn't gonna make 100+whp w/ turbo w/ bpu. so you say i don't know shit about turbos...wanna try and test me boy? let me start it off...8.5:1 is the most used and best overall compression ratio to run turbo on any car. your turn.

you are wrong. Compression is directly related the octane rating of the fuel you are dealing with. So if we are dealing with 91 octane pump gas, and YOU dont know how to tune your car, then 8.5:1 is a good way to start. Personally i like 9 to 9.5. It increases drivability and my car wont be a pooch while your car is waiting to spool up. If you would like me to continue educating you, you just send me $19.95 and i will send you a lecture video.

i would take my custom T3 setup anyday over a t4 setup on your car.

btw, 1 guy asked me if i was gonna race you, and i said "If he asks me." and you never did.

oh yea, please keep the foul language off the forum.... pussie

actually increasing your compression ratio from say 8.5 to 9.5 would decrease drivability b/c you are more prone to detonation with 91 octane gas. it would be MORE RELIABLE and more drivable if you had 9.5 ratio with 93 octane like the east coast. also...wth are you talking about spooling up faster then me? that depends on how big the turbo is...not compression ratio you dumbass.

i will let the motor make a little power too. And more compression means faster moving exhaust, and i will only need to go to 10 psi when you will need to go to 15 to make the same power. And lower compression makes for POOR drivability because your car will be SLOW until you make boost and then a sudden surge of power.

So how many cars have YOU actually turbo'd? or to make is easier, how many aftermarket turbo cars have you actually driven? Or how many aftermarket turbo cars do your friends have? And how many low compression turbo cars have you driven in?

As far as detonation goes, if you know how to tune the timing curve, its not a big problem. we run 15 psi of boost on 10:1 motors because we know what we are doing.

Oh by the way, thats on pump gas!

I also ran 15 psi on a 10.2:1 SOHC motor on pump gas every day.

can you top that?

i tune my A/F ratio setup by pre-setting the amount of pressure each pound of boost increases my fuel pressure. So i just have to recalibrate my pnumatic fuel pressure modulator, and then go test it out.

it works pretty good, it is going on the RSX as well. same setup.

besides my 'special occassion turboed vehicle'...i've helped install 3 kits before. 2 of my cousins have 3rd gen eclipse gs turboed. i've driven many turobed cars like a 97 supra w/ a t66. also 2 240sx's with a sr20 swap. the list goes on. no i can't top your 15psi on a sohc motor b/c i'm not poor. if i have money...why would i drive a crx, civic hatch, or civic coupe to make faster? i drive cars that actually have a worthy engine. this type-s is just my daily driver. now wouldn't you like to know what i keep in my garage at home.

btw...i'm going to sleep. so i'll check up again tomorrow.

who said i was poor? Did i mention that my other 3 cars are corvettes? i have 2 1985 corvettes and a 1999 vette. And btw, one of the 85 vetts is currently undergoing a 383 stroker mod with a twin turbo setup. But you would know nothing about real power, with a 3rd gen or an sr20 swap. The supra has potential, but why dont you check the compression on that motor.

Just for your info, heres a list of cars this shop has turbo'd..

2003 eclipse v6
2002 Lancer OZ
1962 mini cooper
1981 RX7 12a
2002 Celica GT
2003 pontiac vibe
Gen 4 2.0L porche in a dune buggy
2.0 L ford in a dune buggy
1999 Miata 1.8 L
1991 miata 1.6 L with variable vein turbo (do you know what that is?)
1997 Chrystler sebring
1995 mitsu eclipse GS
1990 eclipse gs 1.8 L
1999 Civic Si
1991 CRX w/B16 on 15 psi on pump gas (11 sec ride @117 mph)
1993 hatchback w/1.8 LS (12.50 @ 112, pump gas)
1999 accord 4 door F23 (14.0 @ 100 mph)
2002 Matrix
1995 civic 1.5 DX
1998 prelude, H22
1999 prelude SH
1995 dodge stealth non turbo - supercharged
1993 toyota truck (10 psi)
1991 240 SX
1971 datsun 240z

this is just a quick list off hand of non-turbo cars this shop turbo'd.
of course, this is only in the last 2 years, and only 1 of each model is listed. I didnt repeat the ones i duplicated.

We also did turbo upgrades on factory turbo cars (too many to list)

Still wish to lear more?
