o shit, sorry... I forgot typo's weren't allowed at this site

um, the other car's times were also from magazines and such. Same deal with the '99 si and the 02 si. And I got the times from multiple sources, and seeing as how the times vary between sites, it's more accurate because they are not all using the same information from one source.

True that your car gets more power for less rpm's, however it still is slower getting to whatever your car redlines at than what a i/h/e '00 si's 8000 rpms. Maybe if your car made that much power at that rpm and still redlined at 8000, that would be nice. But it doesn't.

http://www.car-videos.com compare a '00 si to an ep hatch. it's written everywhere that ep hatches are slower

I still think your car looks like a matrix. I don't care if anyone else doesn't ... I still get a kick out of it. U should also diy an automatic sliding door ... hahaha

02SilverSiHB, don't get bent out of shape now, these guys are all just mad that you would give them an ass whoopin if your car and their car were to every meet.

Hey, on a side note, do you know a guy here on Base that drives a Black EP Hatch. I saw him leaving the other day. The only thing I could really tell was that he had Rims and a drop...

thanks man I've seen that car, don't know who it is. I used to see a euro gold one just across the street from work...I think it was lowered, had some different rims, looked damn good. I usually don't care for the euro gold color.

So you guys are still haven that meet on the 2nd eh?

02 silver I'm with you. And ignorance runs rampant on this forum I'm noticing. not tryin to flame I just think it's proven that the SI can beat the ex. And besides all that they are talkin stock SI. they have at least $500 in mods and they talk about a stock car? mod for mod they'd get smoked thats why they compare stock. I've raced a few SI's and I met up with a guy who had CAI/E and could drive awesome, he beat me light to light my front was at the back of his door. SO unless the SI driver sucks big time the EX wont win. Sorry guys. And I happen to like the EX My girls got one. But she aint gonna beat no SI or me for cryin out loud. If you can beat 15.5 in a ex you better have slips to prove it!Then I'll give you props until then SHHHH.....

EDIT: I ended up hitting 15.541 @ 89.55 mph .500 r/t and I spun the shit outa first gear!

hahah, thanks man, I have to admit, I'm weary about racing the 6spd celica gts's. I've seen them hit 14.9 at the track with i/h/e I wish I had smaller rims for the strip, maybe I could do better, who knows.

I happen to own both the '03 Si & '03 EX Coupe with minor mods so far. We both have AEM Short Ram Intakes. that's it!

Anyways, Since I own & drive BOTH models this post is about. I can say for sure that I'm looking into bulding my motor and adding boost before I spend another dime on that fast ass EX eating black rocket of hers. Yeah, it's way faster than my coupe....For Now

yeah we have a few all motor guys with i/e/pulleys posting mid 13 time slips. They are tryin to see who will be the first to hit 13.0 and now turbos are popin up everywhere so there will be some potential 10's flyin around from what I hear. Just rumor though. Headers are expensive as hell for this car but put a lot of power to the wheels I'm suprised only 14.9. I'm mid 15 stock. It's so hot right now but I'm hoping to post a 15.6 at least on sat when I hit the track. MAGAZINE times dont cut it! the real thing thing is way different too many variables.

yeah, 1/4 mile times suck here in San Antonio for some reason. I see 99-00 Si's with stock rims and tires, i/h/e hitting 15.9 at best I don't get it. It all depends on the climate and driver of course. Man, turbo in your car would be nuts...it's light, sleak, and 6 spd

True that your car gets more power for less rpm's, however it still is slower getting to whatever your car redlines at than what a i/h/e '00 si's 8000 rpms. Maybe if your car made that much power at that rpm and still redlined at 8000, that would be nice. But it doesn't.

my 03' Vivid blue SI Redlines at 8000 RPM, and has hella more torque! it might wheigh 200 pounds more but extra horsies make up for that!

I'm a ricer? Is that the craziest shit you have to say about me? Last time I checked, magazines are in business to do research and give information, not mis-information. I don't know why you idiots discredit magazines so much. You ignorant ****s are the prime example of the stupidity the world has to offer. Congradulations!

As far as myself saying that a modded ep hatch can beat a modded ex ... NO WHERE did I say a modded ep hatch would lose against an ex. Try hooked on phonics you stupid illiterate morons. I casually noted that an ex with a good i/h/e combo could take a stock Si. AND that the newer Si's are not as good as their predecessors.

and why are you on a Civic forum if you own a Celica?
