Sunfire and Cavelier???

I know that they are the same car but I tonight I beat a Cav with intake, Exhuast, rims and a bodykit by a half a car and I got killed by a Sunfire with duel exhuast and nothing else really. I'm confused What is the deal?? To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

I was under the impression that the sunfire had more power than a cavalier. Oh well maybe not. But that just goes to show that its not always the car. Driver ability plays a big part in a race.

I drove the same way both times. But the sunfire kinda got a early start. But he still shouldn't have beaten me that bad.

Some of those "old" 80's (maybe early 90's) Sunfires had the turbocharged 4 cylinder engine worth 160hp.

I bet one of those could surprise you!

Bzzzzzzzzzzt......that is incorrect.

My wife used to drive a mid 80's Pontiac Sunfire (not the turbo model).

Hmmmmmmmm Maybe I'm thinking about the Sunbird......

Yeah...yeah....Pontiac J2000, Pontiac Sunbird....Pontiac Sunfire..... It's all starting to come back to me now.

I think you are correct!

The 'stang does 13.4@106 in the 1/4. I only run stock size 'regular' radials, no wide tires, drag radials or slicks.
I like to run it "as is" with no special tuning or trickery for the track. The trap speed is certainly indicative of a mid
to high 12 second time if I were using slicks, but you know how that goes!
