Okay on the way to school today I saw a 94-97ish Integra GSR behind my roommates girlfriend driving all on her ass and everything. So I got behind the GS-R but there wasnt enough room to pull aside him, he gave me a nice rev and when there was an opening he gunned it, I was in mid 2nd gear and he was still in first (8k redline I guess). He pulled about 1/2 car until the top of 2nd when I shifted into third and atually started pulling even on him, and to my surprise by the top of 4th I was right back on his ass. We both slowed down and he motioned for me to get beside since traffic was clear. We got to around 4mph when we got the three honk go, dead even until the top of second, shift into thrid and instantly pull a half a car and by 125 he was at my back bumper. Third try, he wants to go for a stop thinking that I got lucky. I JUST got new tires, Yokohama AVS ES300s, I can dump these at 6k, get a puff of smoke and then launch hard. Opposing light goes yellow and I bring the revs up to about 5.5k, he brings his up to aroudn 4k and gives me a strange look as im holding the revs so high. Turns green, he spins for a minute and I get traction, pull 2 cars off the line, hold it to 50 and he gives up. Now I did have one passenger, 120lb, and i was 260lb. He had two high school cheerleader passengers and a scrawny driver so I think that human weight was equal. I still can't believe I took a GS-R multiple times, we talked afterwards and it was indeed a B18C1, and he claims to have been shifting at redline. Needless to say I am very happy about my car and mods now

Thanks guys, and I would have taken the cheerleaders home but they are in HS, already had a run-in with JailBait so no more [hr]
ah, my bad, i assumed you were under 18. yeah, i had a problem with jailbait too but i learned my lesson
The new clutch is totally badass, it's an ACT HC5-HTSS. The pedal is significantly stiffer than stock, as well as less throw. Combined with a set of good tires on smaller rims (ie. meatier tires). I can launch between 5-6k on the street and at 6500 on the track with a good dose of VHT. I haven't got any times since the clutch, test pipe, but I will soon now that I have grip again.

cool beans.
let me know what you get for your 60 foot times. I am around 2.2 to 2.4.
slippin alll the way!
The 60' times before the tires I had a best of 2.012. I will send you a PM or post here with my new times this weekend, as long as i get the chance to get out there then.
Hey weakVTEC, I'm looking at the ACT website and i don't see ACT HC5-HTSS. Only the HD and XT.
Please explain.
Also how much should i expect to pay for this kind of set up.
Thanks

My bad, it is the XT that you are looking at. I paid about $450 for the clutch, and it was installed free because when the car was wrecked the clutch went bad (or so they say). But id say no more than $200 install, it looks like it would be a pita if the car wasnt already apart. and you might want to get your flywheel lightened if someone else was doing that for an additional $150-$200, your engine will spin up and down much faster.
