And the front of the car.... I found out he got the front done after he hit a tree... he used the insurance money to upgrade the front. I'm sure it looked better BEFORE the tree.

yeah, the civic is lighter than the S2000. our civics are around 2500 lbs. versus the S2000 being 2800 lbs. i just read on the honda website that the S2000 has fiber reinforced cylinder walls.
was that on older models (2000, 2001, etc.) or is it new for this year? i think that's pretty sweet.
i imagine you would be able to take some s2k's with 190 to the wheels. but not if they know how to drive it-->better suspension, aerodynamics, gear ratio and rwd equal good shit for guys like S2000man that can handle the vehicle.
edit: hmm, the front air dam looks like it could provide a lot of cool air to an intercooler <nudge> <nudge>
I know it doesnīt matter at all and im not trying to flame, but i love the fact that s2kmanīs car is "stock" and "he just picked up the Vortech SC kit" . guess he picked it up off the floor or something.Even worse, "installer guy" didnt even notice the contradiction. I almost feel sorry for the "import killer" ...i mean the poor car!

ok, anyone who uses money from insurance to mod their car is an idiot. I am sorry if this offends anyone but it's the damn truth.
it was cheaper to replace my dammage hood and dammaged headlight with aftermarket than oem. they wanted to charge me 200 bucks for one broken oem headlight, i got the whole tyc set for that price! same with the hood, the hood+paint was about 600 dollars, i got my cf hood for about 480, i actually got more money back after i got my car repaired. and don't flame me for insurance fraud, because my insurance and my bodyshop knew i was doing this, and they were okay with it
what....the.....fu.ck
i look left..i see a slob-colored pos..i look right..i see a sexy s2000

if i am not mistaken doesn't a stock s2000 put only about 190hp to the wheels?....i just don't understand how it could beat an ls1 and the 97ss? god damn you either are one hella of a driver or the other people rrealy sucked ass at driving
No... the average S2k puts about 205 to the wheels. 190 is really low. And it's not just about how much power you put to the wheels along with the weight of the car. Other things such as area under the curve, and gearing affect this too.
I don't care what my car puts to the wheels... I can still run a 13.8-14.0 on average.
I'm not calling you a liar or anything like that, but a stock LS1 puts down about 305 to the wheels, and can run in the mid 13's with a good driver, just an FYI
If you ran them from a dig, than ya, BS, but from a roll, you would own them
People post a lot of bad looking cars on here but that one wins the blue ribbon! Usually, I respect other people's taste but that guy has some major issues.
Sorry man! I would have picked on him too!
Nice car for comparison.

Actually it's just the opposite. From a roll, an LS1 will own pretty much. The only way an S2k will get one is off the line... translation: the LS1 driver can't drive.
Yes, they are low 13 second cars stock.... but remember I've hit 13.7 in my S. Combine a good run on my part with some fool who can't drive, and there you go...there's your half second difference.
But I've lost to way more LS1's than I've beaten. I've only beaten a few... and they were horrible drivers.
And I do have 2 of my LS1 races/wins on video... though I don't remember where they went. HOwever, they were posted on s2ki.com so you can find them there.
Ok, that front end of the car looks like it hit another tree or something. That is one hell of a bad job on the bumper.
I have friends that drive J-Bodies and most of their kits look really good, but that is just .......
S2000man01 - I remember seeing a Z24 in my area that could support the "Import Killer". This guy had a Vortech S/C on it running at 14PSI and to top it off he had a 125 shot of nitrous. I was very impressed with his whole setup. Well, he took it to the track a couple weekends later and couldn't break the 14s. I think his best run was in the order of 14.3. All of that power he had was lost because he had no traction. I don't even think he had a LSD.
I was amazed that he kept it from exploding. I think he was using Metyl-hydrate to solve all of his detonation problems and he must have had a huge fuel pump & injectors to solve his fuel problems. If he had a LSD, it would be a whole different story. I wonder if I'll see that car out at the races this year.
Edit: This time, I'll try to get pictures of the car.
There's a riced-out Mercury Cougar that drives around Norco, California with a license plate that says MPRTKLR, or something to that effect. When I get my digicam for X-mas I'll take pics.

You think that Sunfire looks bad?!? Check out this pic I found online somewhere of a Tiburon.
At least, I THINK it used to be a Tiburon.
