not true about the si, my dad has a 7th gen si and i have raced 3 6th gens with it and stayed dead even i mean not a inch diffrence with all but one which had i/h/e which pulled about a car on me
the other guys in Si's need to learn to drive.
A stock 6th gen Si is capable of 15.3 in the 1/4 mile. With i/h/e it can hit 14.7-14.8
A stock 7th gen Si is about a 15.7 at best, and 15.2 with i/h/e.

^^ did you just say that your stock 94 DX was faster than your stock 03 ex?
Yes I did. Think about it, the DX has:
350lb's lighter
no power loss to A/C or P/S
only 22 hp less, but better gearing and smaller tires
'03 EX has:
350 lb's more
A/C and power steering loss
2 cats
22 hp more, but 3 inch bigger tires (heavier) and taller gearing
of course, I didn't bother taking a '94 civic DX stock to the track, so all I have is one those stupid G-tech things that say the DX was 0.2 seconds quicker at 16.2 and the EX was at 16.4, but my butt dyno is in agreement.
i serously dont think anyone know how to drive the new si
you're right. everyone who has ever ran the 1/4 mile and posted 100+ timeslips on ephatch.com can't drive, because they can't get the 7th gen Si better than a 15.7 in the 1/4 mile sotck. but you are able to magically get it to be as fast as a 6th gen Si that can run 15.3.

Final conclusion: both cars are still slow.
a 7th gen EX can run 15.8 at the absolute best.
you're looking at all those things, yet ignoring the greatest factor of all. GEARING
you're looking at all those things, yet ignoring the greatest factor of all. GEARING
a 94 dx is not as fast as a 7th gen ex
Like I siad it was one of those Tesla G-Tech things, I wouldn't trust it's timing. I do believe I mentioned gearing in my post, right? If you really want to talk about gearing, what will give you better gearing on the tire (becasue that count to, right? Which is better: a 13 inch rim where the tire is about 22 inchs or a 15 inch rim the tire diameter is 24.5 inchs? For once, smaller is better.
And you don't think 350 lb's makes difference? There is a rule of thumb when racing old muscle cars (and yes I know civic's aren't muscle cars, but the theory is the same) 300 lb's = 1 second in the quarter mile, point is 350 lbs is a huge wieght advantage.
If oyu don't believe me, fine. It's not like either of these cars is setting world paces here
2002 Dx wieghs in at 2400 lbs while the '95 Ex weighs 2443 lbs, 40+ lb weight advantage, woopy
Not to mention as you already pointed out, gearing. '02 DX tire diameter = 24.3, '95 EX tire diameter 24.3, agian no edge.
So in that video, the DX has no advantage over the EX, and how much did it win by? Now you are telling me that 350 lbs and 2 inch tire difference doesn't mean anything?
