"Without a doubt, i'll be seeing your taillights?". Haha...do you even know what car I have? A boosted automatic tC will be faster than your civic.
Did anyone ever say anything about the tC being the "quickest thing under the sun"? Stock for stock, mod for mod, it sure is quicker than the 7thgen civic anyway.
Woop dee doo... you have a boosted automatic civic. I fail to see how your boosted 1.7l SOHC coupled with an AUTOMATIC tranny is impressive by any means. As far as i'm concerned, your ride is probably placed in the lower portion of the food chain of cars running boost.
I dont care what kinda car you drive, whether its an rsx or a tC. I guarantee you that my car would beat a tC with boost. Anyway, I dont really give a shit if you boost that thing or not. In a race right now, my car would destroy any of yours. And don't give me this shit that you have plans to a, b, c, whatever. I don't talk in the future. Until your car is running low 14's, come and have a talk with me.
By the way, I never recall saying that my boosted civic was at a top portion of a food chain. I know that the car sucks, but at least its quicker than a lot more of the cars out there. As with respect, I feel I deserve some being I made an automatic econo-car faster than an RSX Type S with my own hands.
btw, I read in Super Street that they tested the supercharged version, and by the numbers and figures there, my "lowly boosted auto" would be right up with it. Don't act like you know me, or what my car can do. I have more than just a basic bolt-on kit fella
And please, don't come on here acting all hard. The only reason I "put you in your place" was because you came on here acting like you had a 16 inch ****. I'm not entirely impressed with the scions. They've yet to prove their liability. I don't fully respect them yet because I don't really have a means to see what they can do. Unless you can predict the future, my stance is grounded.
I really didn't want to get into an argument with you, I just feel you disrespected me without proper grounds to do so. If you're from the Tri-state area, pm me and we'll settle this on the street.

Good kill? Hardly. Auto tCs are slugs...even more so from a roll. They run mid-high 16s in the 1/4 mile.
"Only 163lbs of tq?" Find me another naturally aspirated 2.4l 4cylinder engine which makes more/comparable tq, then talk. The only one i can think of is the K24 found in the TSX which makes 166lbs tq. Try not to forget that the tC makes about 50lbs more tq than an EX civic.
"Join a tC forum?". I am a member of one. Just putting you in your place.
mm... everytime I see someone write about torque on a 4 cylinder, I almost always come back to this car, KA24DE 240SX. It was deemed a crap truck motor so no one really paid any attention. That was almost a decade ago. Now, in comparison to today's tech, obviously, it's not too good. But that car/engine was built a decade ago... hmm.....

tsk tsk...so many internet tough guys popping up on this thread. You guarantee that your car will "destroy" any car of mine. That's a pretty extravagant claim to be making. Especially when your car is an AUTOMATIC civic on the snail. Low 14s aren't anything impressive. It wouldn't take much at all to smoke that 1.7l SOHC AUTOMATIC car that you have. You shouldn't be talking so much if your car is only running 14s on boost. Now i'm putting you in your place.
please don't think your civic better than the tC. In all honesty, you just have to use a lil common sense.
2.4l DOHC > 1.7l SOHC
Mod for mod, the tC will make more power than your civic. I don't see why you're so bitter about it.
seriously, it's just like another member pointed out earlier in this thread. "There are so many sensitive members here"
Of course a boosted auto civic will kill a stock tC... But if that tC were SC, the Civic would get raped. The tC weighs more, but it would still beat a Civic regardless if by 1 car length blah blah blah... I forget which magazine, but they did a test on the tC and whp was around 140-150ish... A stock Civic EX is what, 110 whp???
I could understand why all 7th gen owners would be upset. You guys are just defending your ride which is cool by all means.

Eternalblue... Well said... To be honest, who gives a shiet about both cars. This part of the forum (Track/Street/Strip) is just like RSX vs ALL forum over in CRSX... Can't we all just get along??
