6thgen SI got owned by EX

Last night Redcivic04 and I were running our cars when I came up to a stop light and here coming across the intersection was a 6thgen SI (B16) drove by and I just had to get him to run me. We pull up to the next light side by side and we both pull of normally. I shift from 1st into 2nd and get to about 5,000 rpm and he punches it and as do I. For him jumping me in an SI 6thgen he still lost to the 02 EX

. That has to suck...

There are alot more but this is what I can remember now all I need is to run a 7thgen SI need to pull someones H-Card...

we went from like a 30mph roll when he gunned it before me, and I still managed in an EX to pull enough on him to put his a$$ 1/2 car lengh behing me...his car was black, lightly modded it seemed it looked like he got a little mad because when I slowed down he just kept flying by and never slowed down to maybe run again from a dig...

Well if it was off a roll, all you have to do is punch it and shift :-) What gear you guys race to? Also what power pullies, little n00b in that heh sorry.

Yeah I wanted to run you at that light. I was looking over to see if you were ready. Then you turned all of a sudden. If I would have know I would have followed. Good kill. Wish I could have witnessed it. I think we will have to settle our battle at the track to be fair. Too close on the street. The best driver will be on top in the end.

We raced until the end of fourth and he couldnt catch up...

Redline04 you will get your chance I will be out tonight...And we will def go to the track to settle it once and for all but by then I will have more mods on the car...

1320racing you think without your power pulley and your aemv2 you would be able to take the SI, or you felt power increase with those mods?...also unless he is a real bad shifter, then its a possibility. What happened when you shifted out of 2nd? and out of 3rd? did you get a little hop at all? or you guys were dead even all the way? The reason I'm asking is because my friend has a 6th gen SI, so I'm just curious if I'd be able to take him. 1/4 Mile for sure we'll lose but off a roll I don't know.

The intake and pullies have given myself enough push nothing fantastic...
He looked young and prob didnt know how to run, if so he shouldnt have ran me...
We were side by side bumber to bumber doing like 35-40 mph (unsure) but I remember being at 5,000 rpm in 2nd gear...when I looked at him and said lets run em and not after I said that he floored it (so he got the jump) then I gunned it and pulled enough to put him 1/2 car length behind me. I tried to get him to run me from a dig. Your car is better from a dig. The B16A should have eating me up off a roll so I dont know what happened. If you run your buddy I would do it from a deg then from different rolls 10mph, 20mph, 30mph and see how you do. The pullies made the engine rev up faster so I would say maybe 5whp if that but I havent dynoed the car yet. But when he hit it I could here his VTEC engage and he started to scream and I was like its all over but he just kept slippin back. I was like WTF I couldnt believe it myself. Unless he was a punk a$$ and put SI tags on an EX then the next time I see him I will pull his H-Card and tell all, feed him to the dogs. But the SI is not that fast stock it just has TONS of potential.

si's run 15's with ease with basic mods. maybe a handful of lightly modded (non FI) civics can touch 15's

i'm not doubting you beat him. but anyone thinking they can repeat against someone who has driven their car for awhile should probably still consider it a long shot
