thats the attitude some of u guys r giving. just because he says he beat a car thats faster, u immediately label him with the "oh i can beat a ferrari in my civic" attitude.
It's not that he beat 1 car that would in every normal situation, be considered faster than him. Rather, he states multiple kills of the same ilk. Like I stated before. I can believe SOME of the kills, but not all.

i see this oh so often on forums everyone knows street is different than track. people use different tires, or deflate them on the track for perfect traction. then some people just have more confidence on the street
I wasn't offering to do any track prep. I was offering to race like a DD on a controlled surface which would not offer any advantage. In regard to the confidence; his posts allude that he has no issues with that therefore it doesn't appear to be a factor. Besides, he posted that he has no problem with a track in this post.

Redline04 you will get your chance I will be out tonight...And we will def go to the track to settle it once and for all but by then I will have more mods on the car...
So he'll go to NPR, the closest track to him, to race his friend in an Ex. Yet when an Si (what he wants to race) asks him to go to the track he declines... Ok, I'll wait until he decides he wants to race his friend and then I'll go out there....

ohhh now ur goin from mr conservative track racer to mr badass street racer. u just contradicted urself idiot.
I'm the idiot? Please, re-read what I posted and expound on your statement. There is no contradiction there.

i cant beleive u just said ur in an "import scene". get a life
Hmmm...just like there is a domestic tuning scene, just like there is a domestic show scene... There is an import scene. The import scene is the clique of individuals that share a similar interest in the import automotive enthusiest community. To say that there isn't would be without merit. I'm a moderator on Louisiana's largest import car website (we also cater to domestics in their own forums). Over 7,000 members. We have "meets" all the time with the last about 2 weeks ago with over 100 tuned import cars showing up. Hmmm.... No import scene? That's what it is. The term import scene vs. the general car scene term was used as the import community here is generally knowledgable in regard to specific cars; i.e., he stated he ran an H22 swap. Well, I know plenty of people that have done that and they knew even more (as they gained valuable information during their swaps from the others) yet no one has heard of this H22 killing Ex.

u can tape it on the street as well. some people arnt hardcore about racing, obviously hes not.
He's not hardcore? ahahah...now that's a dumb statement. He boasts about his kills and how much he's beaten them. He boasts about his technique. He gives specific guide to people in regard to how they should race. He goes hunting for cars for street races (pull almost any thread about racing in it that he's posted in...). He states all over 7 gen about street racing... He's not "hardcore"? He certainly sounds like he's trying to be.

all I can say is WOW!! oh btw, me, redline, and 1320 all live in shreveport and I believe they were talking about going to the local track here in shreveport...so he's not punking out...not picking sides but I will vouch for 1320's driving skills...he beat me when I was N/A...he launches pretty good...I think he jumped on me but hey I cant launch and maybe thats how good of launch he had on me...oh btw...the guy who said a boosted EX will beat a 00 SI by like 2 cars or whatever...well I CAUGHT that same SI 1320 raced from BEHIND and BLEW HIS ****ING DOORS OFF...maybe he couldnt drive/shift or whatever but he lost and thats all that matters...oh yeah...one night I rode next to a new SI on the higway and we ran from a roll and he beat me twice but by only a 1/2 IF THAT (when I was N/A) and he didnt get that 1/2 on me till like 100 or so....the last time I heard him miss 3rd or 4th gear (I forget) and I beat him and we didnt race anymore after that...oh yeah I had a passenger and we had our luggage from our trip......oh well carry on.....

Im sure neither of these guys is running slicks, and the tire presure issue can simply be fixed but not letting the other person mess with it. If both cars are running street tires then I see no difference, besides timeslips dont lie, and 99% of the times are error free
1320 I completley belive you i was out at some local races and got paired up with an 00 si and i beat the owner of the car 2x a second driver of the same car 2x and a third driver of the car 2x. I have video but not on my camera. I will try to get it ASAP.Just because you have a higher power car doesn't mean he's going to win. the HP at the wheels gap between us and an 00 si isn't that big anyway. Alot has to do with the skill of the driver and the knowledge of his or her own car. I know the optimal shit point in "my" car and where "I" lauch best at. when you beat the same car with three dif. drivers you know it can be done. I have Cai,full exhaust, headers,no CAT,short shifter, a few small little trick i like to keep for small little increases and gutted from the passanger and driver seat back. I not only won out the hole but pulled on him. I driven my freinds 00 si for him quite a few times. alot of people try to lauch it at 3-3500rpm like a normal civic. on the si it's a higher reving motor so power comes a little later. they should be launching at 42-4500 rpm. The launch can win you alot of street races.
bad launch is just an excuse, thats part of the race. its where skill comes into play
but even so, u should race someone 2-3 times so everyones satisfied
2-3 times then okay but you guys are saying its IMPOSSIBLE for him to have beat the car so they would have to race more than once so there aren't any faults....unless the reason he won the last race was because of faults...
it's not a completely different class of car... but a B16 is a completely different class of engine... completely stock the Si should win easily... lightly modded equally the Si should still win easily... hell, people on these forums gain 5 HP and they get all giddy... you're talking about over 30HP difference...

dont forget about the 200lb weight difference though.... id say that puts it at a 20hp diff
