hey guys, last night I test drove one of my buddy's m3 and had alot fun, wanted to share this story w/yall. Anyway it was a 02 silver M coupe the ones looks like z3, for those of yall who knows, it's kinda hard to find one of these in US. It only had 13000 miles, perfect condition, he had it shipped from Cali, 1st Beemer for him just to practice on manual cars. Oh yea he just started learning.
Well I guess shouldn't waste too much talking about the car, anyway, he asked me:" how come I loose everytime when I race someone?" huh I wondered. I asked him well how do you drive it? he said:" At the light, I always launch it at 0 rpm and sometimes when i shift to 1st gear, the engine shuts off, the most I will go on RPM is 5. My impression was like this when he said that Don't yall think it's a waste for him to drive that beast around town? Well he's still learning
The engine is pure stock, no mods, running around 315 hp oh yea its light as hell, gears are very stiff, it was kinda hard me to step down the clutch, he asked me drive his car and show him its potential. What a pleasure !!! We went to one of the most common known spot where most muscles and imports hang out.
1st car, 00 mitsubishi eclipes w/turbo, WHP N/A, at light perfect position, no cars ahead, no cops, I pump the gas to 3000 rpm, he looked at me for a while and then looked away, he didn't wanna run. backed out I have no idea, if I was him I would run, the only reason I wanted to run him because he was showing off aganist my buddy's 7thgen.
2nd car 03 Beemer M3 spanking new, it was an old guy, obviously didn't wanna run either. He thought he was the sh*t
3rd car, EVO running 21 pounds of boost. I stopped at their EVO club hang out spot, there were like 7 evos, luckly one of the owners wnats to run it. Well here we go at the light again, Evo took an advantage on 1st gear, he probraly launch it at 4500, it was like half car ahead of me, I went up to 6700 and as soon as that beast switch to 2nd gear, it blown like a freaking rocket, I had test drove the EVO a day before that, when I was running 2nd gear on the evo I definitely didn't feel as strong as this beast, before I realize it, it pasted evo and had it by a car. I stopped before the 3rd gear, we were on a 35mph limit street. It was one of the best runs I've ever had.
4th car, Camero SS , its engine's sound almost blown my windows, it was laud as hell, he had me by a car on 1st gear, then I catched up we were head to head, his engine is great for mid runs, but unfortunally we had to stop.
5th car, impreza STI, mods: N/A Definitely the torque helped him on 1st gear, little bit faster than evo at the take off, but again this beast's 2nd gear somehow just explode again, it lead the STI by half car, it was very close. Great run.
we also run some GTs, civic, preclude, integra, well yall know the story. Anyway, it was a blast for me that night, The only thing i didn't like was there was no exhaust, no sound from the inside, I guess i'm used to my exhaust. Hope yall like the story, peace out.
p.s. Anyway 7thgen STILL RULES.

These days people argue alot between STI and evo, I think when it really comes down to driver, as far as me and that STI, he really had me on 1st gear, but I guess it's a z m coupe alot more lighter and has better downforce than regular m3 w/the same torque. Me and another buddy test drove the evo a day before that racing, we both agree the M coupe has more power.

if yall see a silver z coupe m3 with hardtop and has the cali license plate in the back, that's the one, try to run him w/your turbo, don't let the 7thgen down.
