Rep Power: 288 Civic Lx-T vs 2 SRT4's and Lancer
Most of you guys know that im not really big on street racing, but this was too good to pass up.
Alright, I am driving to CatalystsGrl's house to take her home, when a silver SRT-4 blows past me. I am thinking, "ok, nice car." and kept on my way. But about 10 Seconds later another one (red) passes me. i was like "Wow, two of them, and this one had a loud BOV." So i was kinds in the mood when a lancer Passes me. This one looked completely stock, but had an EVO wing on it (not saying it's an evo, but it is a possibility). So they slow down and start their "wanna race?" sh*t. So i downshift and suprise them. Then all 3 of them come up, sit next to us, then get on it. So i downshift again, and start pulling on all 3 of them. By the end, it was like this:
(front) (back)
Me ----------- silver SRT4---Lancer----redSRT4
When i slowed back down, the guys (and their girls) came up beside me and just looked like "what the hell is in his car?". Then i had to turn, and all 3 of them cruised off.
I was running 8 psi. Nothing went wrong, and everything worked as it should have. And DAMN did it feel good!

Rep Power: 288 it is pretty loud. I have been messing with different spring tensions, and found the loudest. We made this BOV on a lathe, so it is custom. I may be installing the Turbo XS ones that come with the kit. I am gonna take which ever one is the loudest.

why? i thought he was pushing something like 210ish whp at 8psi, and it definately was an OZ lancer otherwise it would have dominated all three... i think Catalyst easily beat them

Rep Power: 288 I havent taken it back to the track with the 8 psi because i am awaiting a better clutch. And i havent dyno'd it because it cost us $100 for the pull to give you guys numbers last time, and we are waiting for this new shop to open up and have it done there.
The SRT-4 is only 14.0 sec at sealevel with a pro driver. I was already running low 15's with the stock crap still on my car, and the people at the meet saw me take a 14.5 sec accord on juice. I am pretty sure it wasnt an evo, but i had to mension it because maybe he was just a really bad driver. lol.

Rep Power: 288 oh yea, a BOV isnt a mod. It is just a little valve the opens and goes "woosh". Ask SFpower. He is the god of all turbo around here, and he didnt think it to be much of a feat to beat one.

To add to that 14.5 is not 14.0.

Rep Power: 0 True, I'm not arguing with you there. I'm just calling BS because I've seen what SRT's can do. I've also seen what turbo civic's can do. I don't believe alot of any story from anyone unless they have slips or video. Some SRT's claim to be EVO's from a roll, I call BS on that too. Its just a matter of proof.

Rep Power: 288 also, we werent going from a dead stop so its all about top end, which is what i have the most abundant of. My car is insane on the freeway. The SRT will take me off the line and through second, but i catch up in 3rd. Just like the RSX-s on juice i raced. He won through the first 2 gears, but by 3rd i was catching him very quickly when he was still squeezing.
I never said i would take one from a stop. I said we were all cruizing and downshifted. Never once did we stop.

SRT 4's are front wheel drive and don't do well off the line. They are 40mph roll monsters. I'd really like to see how your car compares to one. Let us know what area you are in. I'm sure we can find an SRT 4 for you to run.
