look up the specs of a cavalier... 2.2 eco and the 2.4 ld9 are pretty close in power. In 02 they replaced the ld9 with the ecotec in the z24 most civics would would need some pretty gud mods to keep up with a z24 with a cold air intake. The ecotec has alot of potential and tons of afternarket support, ld9 twin cam is pretty much died off and its hard to find parts for them but they are based on the old oldsmobile quad4 wich in its high output form made 180hp stock... this was a 2.3l four banger that they made back in like 1988-1990. Pretty impressive since alot of the 6 banger from 5 years ago dont make that stock. But you can make some really crazy hybrid builds with the parts from the quad4 and the ld9. And they take boost just as good as a civic if you deal with the tuning issues.
