Rep Power: 0 not quite. They're 2900lbs (manual). My bro is getting one, so i had the oppurtunity to have a go at a test drive. Needless to say... 2.4l DOHC... 160hp @5700rpm...163lbs tq@4000rpm... closely geared transmission... it will, without a doubt smoke your civics.

Rep Power: 0 auto is almost 3000lb that is a bit on the chunky side. that 160hp is from the crank so 400+lbs figure a 30hp difference (+3 for the exhaust) manual vs an auto I say this is very possible. Good kill!!!!!
and rsxtc why don't you join the scion forum, by the way 2.4 litters of displacement and only 163lbs of torque NOT TO IMPRESSIVE

"Only 163lbs of tq?" Find me another naturally aspirated 2.4l 4cylinder engine which makes more/comparable tq, then talk. The only one i can think of is the K24 found in the TSX which makes 166lbs tq. Try not to forget that the tC makes about 50lbs more tq than an EX civic.

How exactly am I in the wrong for defending the tC against remarks like: "It has ONLY 163lbs torque". That's a decent number for a n/a 2.4l engine.

My auto civic would surely hurt your feelings. a tC isnt the quickest thing under the sun. Neither is my car, but without a doubt you'd be seeing my tail lights. Just putting you in your place.

Did anyone ever say anything about the tC being the "quickest thing under the sun"? Stock for stock, mod for mod, it sure is quicker than the 7thgen civic anyway.
Woop dee doo... you have a boosted automatic civic. I fail to see how your boosted 1.7l SOHC coupled with an AUTOMATIC tranny is impressive by any means. As far as i'm concerned, your ride is probably placed in the lower portion of the food chain of cars running boost.

And again good kill the fact that people doubt it only makes it better

Earlier, you said that the 163lbs tq that the tC puts out is NOT impressive. I shut you up with FACTS. Funny how you don't have anything to say to that, huh? If you want to debate, please bring facts to the table, because if you don't, you'll just end up looking like a dumbass.
I find it hilarious how you're telling me to stay in a tC forum, when I've joined this site a year and a half before your first post.

1.) you've got nothing else to add to the argument
2.) you would hate to admit it, but you've been shut up TWICE now with simple technical facts
Hence resorting to insults on a personal level. I don't know about you, but "I did your mom" insults (over the internet) is getting old. As much as I am tempted to, i'm not gonna stoop down to your level with childish insults. Why don't you shut up now and go play in your sandbox?
