Rep Power: 0 your ignition pickup is not that one. the ignition one its off the cam sprocket. and the reason i had to have that sprocket made is because the d 1.6 crank shaft has a smaller neck diameter than ours. so i had to boar out the stock gear and have a sleve weilded into it so it fit on the smaller shaft. we are not sure of the purpose on this gear and sensor but we will mess with the adjustments afterits broken in. also the motor has about 400 miles on it now and is soon to be dynoed. hopefully i will take a hike down to georgia to that meet on the 15th. i hear they might have a dyno there. if anyone from teh philly area wants to go let me know i will crusie down there with ya. the motor performs very well. i took a 1.8 turbo from a roll . he had a exhaust but i dont know what else. i was only 3/4 throtle and only rev'd to 6 grand. i am intrested in seeing what kind of numbers it puts to the ground. it spins goin into 3rd. and now i just picked up the nitrous off some dude with a mustang for 300 bux (i got a good deal) adjustable shot 50 tho 300. i will be running 150 on the street. or when ever i get traction.. and u all said i was lyeing. haha

Rep Power: 0 man, that is some hell of a custom job on the engine.
you should make a list of what 6gen parts bolt onto the D17 ... before you destroked it of course

Rep Power: 0 IMO that has got to be the biggest waste of money that I have ever seen! Congrats on pollishing a turd! I want to see some dyno numbers and if you are not pushing at least 200whp off the bottle, I'm going to continue to laugh! You need some money management help. You could have done so much better swapping the motor out for a K20.

Rep Power: 394 Actually... No head gasket is more reliable than a head gasket if the mating surfaces are perfectly flat and the clamping load is spread out evenly. This isn't always possible in the real world though, so that's why we have head gaskets. Who said he didn't have a head gasket though? I missed that...

Rep Power: 0 who is talking about head gaskets?? i have a metal one. actually our cars come stock with a metal one. and fyi... you can take appart your gasket and gain a higher compression. i believe u have like 5 layers in yours and u can chang your compression from 9.9-1 (i think stock) to like a 10.9-1 if u flake it appart and use only one layer! not saying ur rods will handel it tho

You must be smoking some major crack if you think it's a pile of ****! Motor Trend huh? Why don't you start reading some other magazines that don't state false facts. The K20 has been rated one of the best egines to respond to bolts ons by numerous magazines. Take a look at the HASport project car with the K20. I am still laughing at you. Why you ask? You only got 180whp out of all that **** work you did? You my friend are a waste of space and your project is a total waste of money. You are down right pitiful. And this "180whp" without nitrous is your estimate. Get it on the dyno.

Rep Power: 0 Obviously because they only used a base model K20. You will get own3d by a civ with the RSX Type S and Type R motor. And I will put money on that! When I do my K20 Type R swap, you and I will dance. Off the bottle of coase. You can put whatever amount of money that you want down. Just be prepared to give it to me.
