04 EM2 EX - Grenadine
It's an automatic. So if you're looking for performance and suspension mods get out while you still can!
This is more of a 'Sleeper car audio build' than anything.
I wish I documented from the day I got it but basically the body was in pretty good shape but the interior was seriously neglected. The amount of human slime was unbearable. Previous owner must have loved coffee and cheetos, because the whole console was encrusted in in a orange/brown goo.
I wasn't expecting to like this car so much so I didn't take many pictures of it when I first got it.
First things I did was smoke the tails and restore the headlights:
Last aesthetics were new grill and blacked out emblems:
Driver's side door lock actuator pooted rendering keyless entry worthless. Had to get that fixed. Ended up stripping one of the screws in the door jamb.
Now it was time to get started on the stereo!
Dash piece:
Upgraded to a 34 Optima Redtop as well as did the big 3 and installed 4 gauge ofc for the amp:
Monoblock & 10" Type R installed:
Installed Kicker KS 2-way 6x9s in the rear deck and did the gas shocks mod while I was at it. Tensioner bars were in the way:
Did some deadening and installed some cs coaxials in the doors, this would be temporary:
Time for a real front stage! JL C2-650 Components and more Damplifier Pro:
LED for lowbeams, tryna free up some amperage for the amp:
I'll update this more, there's some stuff missing.

Re: 04 EM2 EX - Grenadine
Got a layer a dynamat on the roof.
Upgraded my sub amp to a 1200w monoblock, time for a charging system upgrade.
Installed this 180a Singer Alternator.
Retired the Type R and bought some JL 10w6v3s decided to build a ported box for them.
Still gotta do some round-over sanding and then it'll be ready for carpet.

Swapped my kenwood single din for one with bluetooth and 4v preouts.
What a difference in sound quality!:
Deadening trunk (I left the floors for last, that way I could get budget deadener and not worry about it sliding off of anywhere if the adhesive sucks) plus I'm poor.:
Box carpeted:
Near future to-dos:
-Tint
-False floor/ditch the donut
With all the added weight, suspension doesn't seem too happy, gotta figure out what to do about that.

With that sub box taking up so much room you can now only take home half the amount of groceries in that grocery getter..lol..jk.
Nice work and write-up. Looks like you keep your ride in great shape.
