I will guarantee you its Racer X motorsports. They are a scam man, They called me and they wanted 79 bucks upfront for them to just send me a T-Shirt and decals. I told them no. They called back 2 days later prectically begging me to accept it. Im serious.They said you get 52% off products up to 10 grand, they dont just give you 10 grand, i Wish it was that easy. I hate to burst you bubble but noone is going to give you 10 g's. Lok on thier website, there are absolutely no products on the site, Thier whole site is about sponsorship.They called me 4 times asking and trying to make a deal by only sending them like 50 now and then the other 29 when i receive the package. I say SCAM.
Did the phone conversation go something like this?
Racer X Motorsport: Racer X Motorsports
JDM EM2: Yeah, I'm intrested in a sponsorship.
Racer X Motorsport: Ok, how about we give you $10,000. That sound fair?
JDM EM2: I'll get $10,000!?!?!
Racer X Motorsport: Sure kid. Your checks in the mail.
LOL. I'm just kidding man. Just becareful out there. And stay away from them.
i told you about them, look on thier website, DO YOU SEE ANY PRODUCTS FOR OUR CARS? DO YOU SEE ANY PRODUCTS AT ALL?MYABE YOU DO BUT I SURE AS HELL DONT!!!! thier in the business to make money by scamming teenagers. Thier whole site says "Have you gotten sponsored yet?" I mean what kind of BS is that?WHy would a company sponsor cars to get thier name out if all they do is sponsor?Thats how they make thier money
Its hard to find a money sponsor. Just Hand write some letters and send them to different companies. Youll be suprised the difference hand written letters make compared to emails. It shows the company you really want it.
lol yea Racer X is a scam... i know about 5 basically stock Civics receiving this "$10000 sponsorship"
If its too good to be true then it probably is.
I know lots of people that have put $20gs to $60gs that would still be unable to get a monetary sponsorship for their cars. This topic has come up several times. I hope no one has lost too much money to them! you got to remember that sponsorships are based on return on investment. If a company gives you $1000 of goods they will expect over $1000 worth of advertising through shows and other events with coverage or large crowds. Your basically stock car is not going to provide a company with $10000 in advertising. You know that right?! Start with smaller type sponsorships. Its a building exercise, no one just jumps to the top without modding their car first and having a history of successes.
Ok...this may sound lika dumb ass question to some, but oh well I'm new to this shiet.
What does having a sponsership actually give to you? I mean I know they hook you up w/$$ and shiet like that. But what for? I mean they just don't say here, take this money and fix your ride up and advertise our name at the same time!!
If someone can explain, I would really appreciate it. Maybe I'd want a sponser for my broke ass LOL
prolly require you to do alot of publicity. meaning alot of shows, alot of photos for ads, alot of conferences. basically...they give you money for their parts and you're their little b!tch to show off. its kinda worth it...
