Re: Im off to go do blacked out headlights...Done!

Whoa cool, that sounds nice. I wonder if they'll have that at kragen up here. I think they would... I guess I could try that.... I guess I could do what I have again, just with different sandpaper.

I think I'll try this first... with better sandpaper. Because Im pretty sure that it didn't work because I was using too low of grits.

Re: blacked out headlights...Done! more pictures.

Thanks dudes, it looks a ton better after the right grits and more compounding and the plast-x polish. I can't see any more scratches during the day.

But, later that night I flipped on the headlights and looked into the light, and you could see scratch marks, kinda like swirl marks. I'm wondering if I should get another rubbing compound that's more aggressive to cut through the scratches....not sure.

Yep thats good advice! I had that problem with the chrome,it wasnt that bad
but i saw some small piece of chrome being removed by the yellow tape. All
the rest went smooth!

I think you did a good joob on yours!!!

here some of my pics as info....

I putted them in the oven so all the MTF glue is like rubber so you can remove
the plastic front in 1 time.It was a pain in the butt removing the rest in the
groves. You need to clean them out verry well so wen you put them back that
it seal verry well.

So this i wrong with the yellow tape. it will remove the chrome!!!!!!

3-4 coats i dont realy remember how many i did.

Thhaataaa.

End result

I also did my friends is200

enjoy
