Finally EP3 Steering Wheel Installed... (56k maybe)

but is this normal??? The gap between the bag and wheel is pretty noticeable or is it I'm just very anal??? it looks pretty good tho.. horn works, no srs light, & the cc works... but what you think of this gap?

Also, I think I might need a wheel alignment now? with the wheel straight seems like the car moves right a little... Is that normal after installing a new steering wheel?

Thanks...

Re: Finally EP3 Steering Wheel Installed... (56k maybe)

After a steering wheel install, if your steering seems off then its because the steering wheel wasn't aligned properly during the install. You do not need to a wheel alignment.

BTW, that gap looks normal. If your that anal then try to see if you can line it up any better but that looks about right

Re: Finally EP3 Steering Wheel Installed... (56k maybe)

that's a pretty noticeable gap at the bottom there... i don't think you can adjust anything... it just fits the way it fits. there's only 2 bolts and 2 holes, and the holes are the same size are the bolts. gl though.

Re: Finally EP3 Steering Wheel Installed... (56k maybe)

effen A!! my SRS light turned on this morning.... I opened the cover for the airbag and car connector, pushed on it and it clicked. I guess some how it got disconnected. imma try this again 2night, reinstall it. hopefully it turns off the srs light. i can also align the wheel that's a plus... btw is there a way to lock the to connectors together (airbag)...?

Re: Finally EP3 Steering Wheel Installed... (56k maybe)

i found out how the srs light went on... i took apart the wheel again and tried to re-install. well the clip on yellow plastic thing that connects the bag wires the the car was snapped off. so i guess in the beginning it stuck together preventing the srs light to stay off. now that it slightly seperated from each other it caused the light to go on.

in any event, is it possible to get just that yellow plastic case from the bag replaced? is it pricey? the srs light is pissing me off! i just got it turned off after installing ep3 seats. cost me almost $100 from the stealership

anyways, here is another picture, sorry car is messy! thanks.
