Well, drove it work and back today with no issues. I stayed out of boost on the way in to work (about 10 miles) and then on the way home, eased into boost 2-3 times up to 5psi and about 4500 RPMs. So far so good. I want to take it easy for a little bit to let things settle in. Coolant temps are way down - stable at 183 F, whereas before I would be at 196 F with fluctuation into the 205-210 range. So that's good.
Wheeling and dealing on a new (to me) stock alternator to replace mine. I probably toasted the voltage regulator at the track given the fluctuations I'm having. Next step if that doesn't work is to replace the coil packs. If anyone has a good used set, PM me as I don't feel like paying full price for them.

If you speak German, post your question in that language. Sorry that I don't know Dutch or Flemish. German is as close as I can get. I'm terrible with languages and can only converse in German and understand what's being said to me in Spanish.
Hey clint sorry for my bad english. but yeah I was talking what socket to use
for the nuts.I needed to know what its called so i can get me one 12point
socket. I got the allen wrench for the head studs. thx for the nfo
Yeah i can speak german but I cant write it at all so that would be more like
japanese you'll be reading.

No problem at all Ching. So you need an 11mm, 12-point socket. Which I think is a Steckeinsätze in German, a douille in French, but what is it in Dutch?
Matt, when the head warped this summer, I blew one coilpack and I don't know which one so I swapped them all out. Once I get a new alternator, it I haven't found a reasonably priced used set, I'll go through and troubleshoot to find the bad one.

Dop Sleutel. Got it. I use altavista Babelfish a lot and and it gave me dop, but I didn't really trust it.
My flaky officially has nothing to do with my coil packs. I did some juggling a the spares the I have and the idle did not change at all. Gotta be the alternator. Thanks to streetthrowback and his for sale thread, I have a new (used) alternator soon to be on its way!

Thanks Steve. Just emailed Gerry about the IMs. Gonna start a thread here as well to see what kind of serious interest we can garner.
Did some more trouble-shooting, repairing, and re-tooling on the Civic tonight. I freshened up all my grounds and changed the location of my battery ground in the trunk in hopes of solving my flaky idle issues. Good news is that I got rid of my stereo whine when the rear defrost and lights are on. Bad news is that it didn't affect my voltage output. Oh well, block checked. New alternator is still on the way.
My new valve cover gasket started leaking a little in front after I had to remove it to fix the valve lash the other day. RTV to the rescue and she should be good.
I re-routed my wastegate vac line as well. I've been reading and researching and have found that your wastegate diaphragm may be prone to wearing out faster if you use your intake mani as a pressure/vac source for it. This is because the constant fluctuation between vacuum and boost causes the diaphragm to flex more than is necessary and it wears out faster. Sounds good to me. So I unplugged my pressure port on the turbo compressor and am now using that as the WG pressure source. Test drive will tell tomorrow.
I did some more aggressive boost pulls on the way home today. Some 9 psi runs up to 6K on the old tacho. Nice and smoooooth. I love this new cam. Much smoother than the stocker. My AFRs are just fine under boost (11.5-11.75) and it sounds freaking awesome. Plus I have zero coolant push, my temps spike to 187F after a 2nd-4th boost pull and then quickly go back to 183F. I can't wait for the alternator to get here so I can fix my flaky idle!

As soon as my alternator gets here and I get the idle fixed it's off to the dyno. I want to run a 6 psi and a 9 psi pull to see what she's doing. I'm getting just as curious as everyone else!
