Ramsgate is east of London on the coast, its were most of the ships that were used for the evacuation of France came from in WWII.

My DEROS is next October! So yeah, it won't be for another year. I have no idea where Margate or Ramsgate is.
The Army will pay to ship one vehicle back to the states Varner. Anymore than that and it's out of my pocket - which is about $1000. Needless to say, my wife's Blazer will be sold locally before we leave next year and we'll buy something and have it waiting for us where ever we end up.

foos .. were u boosting 9 lbs on stock internals and shit broke??or this was at 5lbs?? cuz i don't have the money or time for any head aches .. and ive been boosted for a week at 5lbs with no head aches ... could i be headed towards problems and stuff at 5 lbs .. or is it because u cranked it up to 9 and ripped her nicely?

Ach so Richard! Right near where the ferry comes across from Calais then. I know where you're talking about now. Although for the rest of the that stuff, I'm historically ignorant. So unless I played it in Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, or the Wolfenstein series, - or watched it in Band of Brothers - all that stuff is new to me every time!
Hey trurace, if you look back a few pages, I did a quick text only HG replacement DIY. That should help you a little bit until I get the full-blown one done this weekend. As far as the 11-pound FW, I ran it for about 5 months before boosting it and it was great then, like it is now. I never noticed much of a difference or the whole "your RPMs fall faster and you're more likely to come out boost thing". I guess that may be possible with a 7-pound one, but not so much with the 11-pounder.
Familycar, I am so tired of that damn Blazer! We've had it since 2001 and it's a 2000. We bought it with 18K on the dial and its got about 109K on it now. Knock on wood that nothing catastrophic has gone wrong with it, but it's been a real maintenance nightmare. I've had to replace so many things on it that I should not have had to. Two fuel pumps and sending units, all the oil lines for the factory reloc'd filter, MAF sensor, multi-function switch (blinkers, cruise, wiper stock thing), I'm throwing an "EVAP pressure to low" DTC that I can't figure out, the rear main is leaking (not fixed), the tranny pan bolts come loose (fixed) differential started leaking (fixed), both front door hinge pins have been replaced, my driver rear window switch is broken, I've got a strange leak that collects in the front driver floor board that I can't figure out (I've jerked the interior twice trying to find it, plus all the other tricks), it eats tires and brakes like nobody's business, I now get 13mpg when I used to get 19 mpg. I hate it now. Basically it's typically American trash engineering. I'll never buy a post-1975 US built vehicle again. That includes the Rubi I'm babysitting. /GM rant
emjay, nothing has really broken that I haven't caused in some way or another. Obviously the more boost you run, the more abuse your engine takes. This was at 9 psi, but I suspect one of two (or both) things. My $20 Mizumo head gaskets don't hold up very well, and/or when the car overheated this past summer, the head got slightly warped. Not enough to make a difference on a stock NA engine, but definitely enough to cause problems on a boosted setup.
You probably will run into some issue or another at 5 psi, it's really inevitable. Just immediately take care of any problem that comes up so you don't exacerbate the damage and end up with a bigger problem.

There's a good chance that I'm not going to answer your PM.
will be your saving grace for all your problems, and some of that stuff would need to be replaced or fixed through an install anyway. basically mach can put down well over 300whp with his kits.
i used to own an 01 s10 but it was a gutless 2.2l.
seriously gotta check out that site it will solve your headaches
check out this sc'd 4.3l http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f2/i-made-it-over-18788/

Good stuff man! I will chock this up to forum number six that I am now a member of! Although I'm probably just going to lurk on that one and sponge information off of it. I already got one good piece and that's how to change the #3 plug that's been on there for the life of the truck. I definitely appreciate it. You deserve a virtual beer on the house!

Re: Everything is OK again - Still boosted! (Pg 81) - The Speedfoos' Turbo Thread!!
Some creeper called his wife hot and he blew another head gasket (the two events where in no way linked together). HG replaced and boost lowered to 8psi for the time being?
