Tell me about it. I already have arthritis in one knee and things have stopped healing as fast as they used to. Why do I feel like I'm 13 though? I'll never be too old to play with cars. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

ive read all over the net that you cant go lower than what your bar is set to, only higher (boost)... how are you doing it? what boost controller?

im getting a Apexi AVC-R electronic boost controller. if anyone has gone less than the psi the bar is set to, let me know, so i dont buy a smaller spring and just use my 5.8psi one. I want to ultimitely go down to around 1psi when im drivin the 45min on the highway everyday, sometimes at 100mph+ lol...

I'm using the PCS-XFC for engine management. Great little piggyback IMO!

Not sure man. I've got the Voodoo IV HP manual one from voodooboost.com. I boost at 5.5 psi and my spring is definitely the 7.25 psi one.

ahh you got a manual boost controller... think the rules change with that actually, not for certain though. I think with an electronic one you cant go below what the bar is set to. dont quote me on the manual ones being able to because they are "manual"... but obviously your living proof that they CAN...

Re: Back on the road - Boosted at 6 psi!!(Pg. 63) - The Speedfoos' Turbo Install Thre

Yeah, I thought for second it might be a pressure drop somewhere in the IC or piping but when I was just running my other 3.6psi spring - no boost controller - that's what my gauge and datalogs read at. Don't know. I love that little boost controller though. Best $50 I spent.

A day over 51..........eat me! Thanks for the compliment though boxcar!

All I have to say is that This Diaper wearing grandpas' car is faster than 90% of the rest of us. That is not something I would be bragging about, I got smoked by a diaper wearing grandpa in a civic.

Re: Back on the road - Boosted at 6 psi!!(Pg. 63) - The Speedfoos' Turbo Install Thre

^^^ LOL, dude I've done all this work myself. My 8-yr old daughter helped occasionally but the rest was me, Mr. Haynes, and this here forum. The head studs were actually really easy, it's just getting at them that takes a little work!

Ching, unfortunately for you, I get my Royal Purple on the base here. If you're ever in the UK, I'll happily buy a couple cases for you, but I don't have a very economical way to get them to you down in Belgium. I'd recommend getting to know some of the GIs down at SHAPE or NATO and sweet talk them into getting a case or two for you.

Yes I am old. I have no idea when it happened, I just kind of woke up like this one day. However I still get carded for beer because I look like I'm twelve. Which is fine by me, because I'll still look like this when I actually am 51!!

Got the most recent tune this morning, it's idling like dog shit, and running really riiich and throwing a P0172, "Thou has too much fuel on bank #1" - it's an olde scanner.

And I've got a P04sumthin' pending for "inefficient catalyst" code as well. We can tune around the first one, the second is because I've blown most of the element loose in the cat!! Wee!!

But the good news is I had a little package arrive today......
