Don, Chris is talking about vacuum there. That's basically running around with minimal pedal, not into boost at all. Once it goes above 0 Hg on the gauge, you're in boost!
Right now I love the PCS. Rock solid, no CELs, no issues whatsover! Solid AFRs all the way through the RPM band. It's great. Even though I'm very early in the boosting and tuning stage, I highly recommend the PCS and Chris tuning it.
The only issue I did have was incorrectly routing the WG vac line. I had it in the top port of the WG and left the bottom one open. While this was supposed to open the valve quicker, all it did was hold it closed! 10 psi sure was fun, but not when your injectors can't hang! It's fixed and rock solid at 4 psi.
This is really the most fun I've had in a long time. Even if I strained the HG today while boosting with the foot-powered boost controller, that's a minimal setback. This shit is FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As soon as the clips get here, it's time for 8 psi.
4 psi is for suckas. I need more boost.
