I really don't know that I will ever sell this car. More than likely if it ever comes down to it, it will be a part-out, cut-up and crush. I've modified too many things on the car to ever get any money out of it.
Start of the weekend wrench extravaganza. This morning's victim was the radiator and grill.
Need to trim a little. It's hittin'
Dremel and done!
Then there was this stupid post on top that had to go.
And everything fit like factory after that!
Because I used the mounting posts attached to the radiator, I didn't have to mess with adding a new foot bracket for the short side. With it secured top and bottom to the raddy cradle, all you need is the one foot on the passenger side.
And yes. The hood latch still fits.
But I put the hood on and saw these two dimples. So it did end up getting damaged in the UPS fiasco. I get to deal with this on Monday now.
Off to Lowes for some bolts and fittings!

looking good clint!!! gonna install my strut king pedals right now. yo did you get the shift boot collar from?? i can't find one to save my life!!
I'm still running the stock shift boot collar. Works like a charm!
All right as you know I went to Lowes today to get some shtuff. My garage is not heated. Well. Was not heated. I picked up this little guy, it sure does the trick!
I also needed some fittings, 6mm x 1/2-inch bolts (which they did not have), and some other stuff. I got the fittings I needed and fixed my UK-lashup that I was running for an oil drain off the turbo. It's still a plumbing fitting, but works much better!
And then I worked on the axle back portion of the exhaust. It went pretty smooth. All told I put another 3 hours in on all this stuff today. Here's the in progress of the axleback. Notice that the car is on the ground so I know I won't have any clearance issues.
And with the bumper on. Sits pretty good if I don't say so myself!
And here it is where I'm leaving it for tonight. I ran half of the finish welds on it, but I need to get the garage cleaned up and work on a project for my wife.
For some reason a two-car garage gets messy in a hurry....

Sleeper exhaust for the win! Looking good as always Foos. Sorry I missed this but what is the purpose of the d16 radiator?

Close. It is smaller, which allow more airflow into the engine bay, which is a must (for me) since I'm going from a vented hood to an OEM one. The DP is what allowed me to get my AC back.

Ahh. Nope it's the stocker!
One more update. I hacked up the front bumper to fit the FMIC. I've got one more area to massage and it will fit right in.

mine looked like that too til i put the piping on....then the foglight hole on the pass side had to be cut a bit...then had to take out the driver side one to match
Yeah, I'm going to play with some things tomorrow to see if I can't make things fit a little better. I've cut about as much as I want to out of the bumper cover.

So Ching asked me how much room there was beside the radiator and if it might be enough to run the IC pipes through there instead of around the side of it. Turn out it fits just fine after taking out about an 3/4" of the raddy cradle of that side.
First we trim the crash bar a little bit...
Then we trim the raddy cradle...
After that we figure out the FMIC placement and weld our carriage bolts into place...
Trim the charge piping (ended up getting rid of about 2 linear feet of tubing) and voila!
It fits like a charm! Muchas thanks for that idea Ching!
Oh and I made a drawer for my sockets today too.
And yeah I know I'm going to have to relocate the coolant rezzie, but that's minor. The pipes fit, the radiator fits, the bumper fits (I can even run fogs if I want to), the AC condensor fits, everything fits. It's awesome.
Ching, give me your address. I need to send you something as a thanks for that idea.
