COSCOM one Tony, over on the east side of Bragg Blvd. It's the only one that has a FW lathe, but they both have brake lathes. Corner of Blackjack and B Street. Much nicer looking shop than the 82nd one, but they're both set up about the same.

Well, I was cleaning up the garage today and decided to make Honda fenders fit in a garbage bag. Like so.
Then I got tired of cleaning and decided to hack the 2.5" flange off my new DP and put the v-band on there. After some banging and some metal re-alignment, I got it on there. Not good enough for today though. Time to run a few beads of wire down it. Here's my first bead after hitting it with a hand held wire brush.
All done. Not bad for gasless "MIG" welding. I'll clean it up a little with the die grinder later.
Even though I wasn't planning on welding, a guy like me is always ready. Good thing I was wearing these OSHA-approved welding shoes!

hey man. How did you take off tranny? did you remove the whole subframe? I need to replace my tranny as it sounds terrible when the clutch is not pushed in.
Can you post pics of where you have your jackstands in the picture and all that?

Those cars are in a barn because the guy is renting it out. Real estate is hard to come by in the UK, so they don't have many options.
As far as removing the tranny, it's fairly easy (relatively speaking). Raise the car up and put jackstands at the points there under the fenders.
Pull the starter and the thermostat housing, then unbolt everything that attaches to the tranny, including that little bracket the clutch line secures to. You will have to pull out the reverse sensor to get that bracket off. Once everything is off and unbolted (front and rear motor mounts and tranny mount too), separate the tranny from the block and use a piece of rope to hold it out of the way (tie to the rad support).
Pull the clutch and flywheel off, and then the tranny lifts right out of the top.
