Install Day 14.75
I don't know why I fear getting to Day 15. But I'm not there yet.
Anyway, first off I want to give a big round of applause to Russell at Powertrain Control Solutions.
I went out to upload the basemap to the PCS unit and couldn't get it to connect to my laptop. Uhoh. I had power, I had ground, and more importantly, I had wireless internet on my laptop to find the tech support number. After a half hour of trouble shooting the connections on the unit over the phone, we got it to detect and were able to get the basemap up without any problems!!! Yay!!!! It was absolutely fantastic.
Anyway, here's the serial port for the unit. I'm going to fab up something a little more permanent this weekend.
It was sooooooo tempting to turn the car over to see if it started (had the battery linked to another car with cables so it wouldn't drain), but I resisted!
It was hard.
Really hard.
But I promised everyone I would make a video and call one of my mates up for the first turnover (no fatty, not an apple turnover), so I am waiting!
I decided to take some photos of my gauges instead. I forgot to check the wideband but I'll do that tomorrow. Here's my favorite:
And then I was able to change the bulb color on my other gauges from that nasty yellow of this:
To this:
Muchos better again in my opinion. I'm glad the boost gauge is different now. It shows how important it is! Plus it looks sweet!
That's it. Have to do a brake job on my buddy's truck and then coach soccer so I probably won't work on the car at all tomorrow, unless that silicone elbow gets here for the radiator.
