I'm pretty sure it has to be that way. If you look at the wiring diagram it shows that the yellow/black wire needs to be moved from the green plug to the blue plug. and from what I understand is that the yellow/black wire is supposed to be the gas light or guage i'm not sure.

Hey man, I'm about to leave my house, but I'll take a look at this when I get home. If all else fails and I can't see why you're having a problem, Maybe sometime between now and Thanskgiving we can meet up and I can take a look at it in person

As for the question about headlights turning on and cluster going out- you must have crossed some wires somewhere. Did you buy your car new? If not, who did you buy it from- a teenager who modded it? Or an old lady that always took it to honda for repairs? Which wiring diagram did you use exactly- I know there was one floating around that had two wires mixed up. I can try and dig up my pictures and show you how the connectors should be pinned correctly. Your problem HAS to be something you messed up when doing the cluster swap.

^ I agree. I'm not sure which ones to tell you to check but you probably have something on the blue connector wrong. After I finished wiring everything up I did a triple check of the wiring and found I mixed up 2 or 4 wires.

Keep in mind there are two settings: lights on and lights off. If you have them down with the lights off I don't think they light up when they're on...

Hey i just recently bought this car from a dealership some old lady owned it and traded it in so no mods were done. I think i might have crossed a wrong wire somewhere or they just arent staying in the plugs when i plug em in i havent had time to mess around with it yet but thanks for the help ill take pics and post them and you tell me what you think.
