mine was a pain to get out as well, it just takes a little careful pulling. i don't think i ended up getting mad at mine, you just have to work the bottom back and forth a little i think. but at first i did have a little problem getting it out. OH YEAH now i remember, make sure it isn't getting caught on the trip/meter button or whatever. hahahaha, i'll bet that's what was happening.

by the way, you are talking about the shroud that you have to take out first, before the cluster.

if you're talking about the shroud then you just need to get a flat head screw driver and place it into the bottom of the shroud and give it some leverage. So push the flat head to the bottom of the shroud and pry it up. you should hear a pop. Do that to both sides and it should come out.

well guys i just got everything installed and now my gas guage isnt working says i'm empty but I have half a tank lol. Also, the oil light turns on automatically when i start the car but when I turn my lights on the oil lamp turns off. Not sure if I have something plugged into the wrong spot or not.

You mixed up some wires. Also the gas gauge was the wire that you had to extend.

There is something wrong because i tripple checked mine before i pluged everything back together and my cluster works flawlessly.

Double check your wiring and then have someone else check it. You might be confused on some of the color of the wiring, esp when they say BLACK/RED. the second color is always the strip color.

Re: 01-03 to 04-05 Gauge Cluster Swap: DONE! Pics inside w/ Pin removing FAQ & Video

idk about your problem man sorry. My blinkers work and my cd player and climate control. I'd suggest checking all your fuses. I just checked mine and one of them inside the cabin is kinda scorched black on the prongs but the metal part that connects the two prongs looks good. Not sure if that means anything. The only thing that I think I might have done wrong is that I cut the red/white wire from the blue connector to extend the yellow/black wire to the blue connector, and I think I have the white/red wire from the green connector plugged back into the green connector. If I did it how I just explained would that be why my gas gauge doesn't work?

alright guys I figured out how to fix the stupid magic lamp icon that goes with the high beams too. Check your connections on the blue connector. I had the red/yellow and the yellow/red wire mixed up. After I put them in the right place the high beam icon works and the magic lamp is gone. So far i'm still lost on the gas gauge anyone know what wires I should check?

alright guys here's some pics of what I did with some details on what I think I did wrong:

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...hiteandred.jpg

okay well fuck the picture I edited didn't turn out so you can read the words I typed. But follow the yellow lined arrows. The white/red wire in the middle is the one I cut to extend the yellow/black wire. But am I supposed to extend it and splice it into the white/red wire that connects to the green connector?

the cluster i had didnt have a tach it was just the retarted speedometer and heat and gas guage. I got the 03-05 guages with the nice red glow and a nice tach. Look around and you'll find it.
