Rep Power: 231 DIY Black Chrome Emblems!!!
hey guys here's my latest mod. it was pretty easy to do...if you know how to paint well. i bought this paint from a hobby shop for about 5 bucks. its more of a tint than a spray...
and here's how it turned out. i used a hair dryer to heat up the rear emblems and fishing line to get them off.
as for the front...different people told me i had to take the bumper off but because im lazy i did it this way. i had regular printer paper wedged under the emblem and i taped newspaper all around the hood and bumper.
and it came out like this.
all in all the process took about 2 hours, taking the emblems off, painting, and putting them on. i used 3M red double sided tape to put them back on. all and any input is appreciated. thanks

Rep Power: 787 3m tape, when done right, will hold like a ****. you need to clean both surface with alcohol, make sure theres no dirt or wax, than also make sure its above 65F temp. then apply it with firm pressure holding for at least 30 seconds. do not let anything get wet for 24 hrs so adhesive can cure. when i had eyelids and put a few strips of this stuff, it was so hard to pull them off i was using all my strength i thought they were gonna break.

Rep Power: 221 Looks good, do they have other colors like gunmetal or something so it could match certain rims? I too wonder how they would look on a silver coupe guess theres only one way to find out...

Rep Power: 322 Nice DIY, very creative and nice looking.
I would think using a heat gun and then using some goo-gone to remove any residue would do the trick.

Yeah, I'm using the red 3m tape for my eyelids and my emblems and they've held for over 1 year now.
You may want to sand the emblems first... I only say that cuz tiny tiny chips of the black paint are coming off my emblems. If it gets worse, I'll sandpaper them again and repaint or just remove them
