I got the 4.57 richmond gear installed and WOW. 2nd gear feels like 1st gear used to be. it's very responsive and much quicker. it's an amazing bang for the buck mod. I also got the comptech diff installed right away too.
I can't wait to put some miles on and break them in. there is some gear whine, but it's not overbearing IMO. My invidia exhaust is still louder. This mod is awesome and so far it's made me grin as though it was my first day driving the S.
It pulls hard down low in every gear, and I "raced" another S2k in a quick pull off the line to 6000rpm in 1st gear.
just in that 0-20 stint, I put a car length on him. woot.
I cant WAIT to bust this thing WOT!

He changed the final gear of the transmission. A whole car from 0-20mph is an awesome improvement! The other driver must have been like damn!

out of curiosity, how many rpms are you doing at 60mph? (in 6th)

Thats awsome, what other mods do you plan on doin in the near future. are you gunna go NA or turbo?
Supercharged eventually. that's why I got these gears (instead of the 4.44 or 4.77). these gears are the strongest and are made by richmond gears specifically for the S2000. that's also why i got the reinforced diff.

I didn't change gears 1 through 6. I changed the final drive gear, which affects ALL other gears.
the previous final drive was 4.10. now it is 4.57
