They come on constantly, otherwise you can't see the numbers at all. They're translucent.

does the dimmer switch work separately for night and day mode? (meaning idfferent settings for when parking lights are on/off?)

WTF!!!!! I DO NOT have a green/black wire to go in the blue plug at all!!! What do I do???

car is 2k2 EX sedan auto with ABS, NO side airbag (maybe why?)

yes, there are two different brightness' you can have for headlights on and off.

see if it works anyways. i think almost every car has different wires left over after the install.

looks sweet. I have full brightness for day time and one notch down for night. Now the dash lights I did look too red, so I might go out to find some colored plastic sheets and redo em.

Thanks TAZ! Your hints kept me from getting stuck. So does anyone know what that extra wire is for that we don't use? I still wanna know why I don't have that green/black wire. Hopefully its not something important.

OMG guys there is something about the 03 cluster I can't stand!! When you shift into drive, there is a GREEN dot! Ahhh how can I turn it off or make it red without opening the cluster????????????????????????????

smash the cluster with a hammer. if you're lucky, the green light will fall out.

haha yea the smallest things bother me. I guess I'll live with it but imo it looks cleaner without the green.

woohoo problem solved! I cut out a small circle of e-tape using a hole punch and stuck it over the green dot. Hehe.

finally got around to doing mine. couple things i noted was 1 of the color wires was missing from my plugs, i forget which color, i also had 1 left over wire from i believe the green harness. i left it out and everything works/lights up so i dont know what it went to, lol. and the mystery white/red wires, you wanna use the white/red from the green harness. and also the highbeam light comes on when i turn on my headlights but turns off when i turn on the highbeams, lol

other than that, these gauges are way better than any aftermarket indiglos. plus mine had WAY less miles than the guy told me...only 1020 instead of 10,000+
