Installed my KONI's.....FEW PROBLEMS TO WATCH OUT FOR
Well lets just say that the difference from stock to KONI is like NIGHT and DAY. Wow is all I gotta say.
The install started out easy, until I couldn't take the top bolt off of the strut assembly so I could begin taking it apart. That bolt was on there soo hard that it wouldn't even come off when we used the impact wrench. So instead of crying we drilled the mofo off hahaha made a mess of the bold but we didn't need it again.
The cutting went pretty good, got the strut apart and took all the insides out, my one strut had about 1% of the oil left in it, hahaha pretty bad I guess that's why my car kept pulling to the right.
MY MAIN PROBLEM WAS, that when we put the Koni in the strut my Ground Controls wouldn't fit over the hat of the KONI. SO luckily we had a table grinder and we grinded the edges of the KONI down so that it would fit, that scared me for a second cuz I thought we were fuc.ked for sure.
The last strut didn't line up to the bottom hole very well but we filled it down and made it fit. Install took around 5 hours, non stop. Because of the problems we ran into (Top bolt on old strut, and Koni hat being to big) The job should take around 2 hours.
Ride quality is amazing I love it and I have it set to 75% in the back and about 15% in the front, I'm breaking in my fronts before I crank up the stiffness, but cornering is excellent and there is minimal body roll that I can feel.
All I need now is a front and rear upper and lower strut bar.
GO BUY KONI'S cuz they OWN !!!!

About time they're done! I mean, we've been putting it off for so long. I couldn't believe the rotten luck we had that night. Everything that could go wrong, did!
Hahahaha Yeah.....but shit man..with out you..I would be sitting on the ground crying..cuz I couldn't fig it out...hahaha...good thing your and Engineer...hahaha....
should have slid the coilover sleeve on the strut body before inserting the strut.
glad it worked out.
enjoy the ride while everyone else waits for kyb tokico ect.

SHIT...never thought of it that way.....F.UCK....hahaha djmota..where were you on satruday.....But if I wanted to take the coilovers off to clean them..it would have been a real pain in the ass forsure.....
actually the way it is done is that to get the coilover sleeve over the Koni is that you use a monkey wrench on the top ring part of the Koni (The piece you grinded down). All you have to do is unscrew ithe cap out. Works better that way and you have access to the oil inside
im running on koni's with neuspeed race. totally love the drop and ride quality and so far no noise. only time i ever encountered any was an early popping from the the springs which only lasted a couple days till they settled. install went smoothly, and couldnt have asked for more.
I get a damn loud noise coming from the front drivers side. It makes noise everytime I hit a bump. I have Ground Control with Konis. I dont know what it is and its been doing this for about 4 months now. I've had Konis since the day they came out and and Ground Control for about almost 2 years now.
