but...whenever I hit a bump/pothole/you name it, the whole thing bottoms out and SLAMS the strut upwards.
its really loud and painful.
will this go away when I get my tein's, or should I be just as careful to avoid any sort of bump at all (it happens when I go over the round sewer grates as well)....?
Just curious, because this uncomfortable ride is getting really annoying. I'm tempted to just go back to riding stock! (ew)

ok ur struts are blown cause I Have the same problem... its not the springs... I have my car slammed. I even have my rear fenders Crimped so it doesnt rub, Ive never bottomed out. Knock on WOOD... but I have GC with the crazy bounce problem and you need Koni's. they will solve all ur problems
I'm getting the Tein SS soon (placed the order, put a deposit down)...
I'm just hoping it isn't all in vain.
Today on the way to work, there was a raised sewer grate on the side of the road that I couldn't avoid...BANG!! totally bottomed out, and it hurt my back! it was nuts!
The shocks MUST be blown...they're pretty pathetic now
it'd be nice if I could get honda to replace them hehehe

hopefully the tein's will deliver!
They will. No matter what dampening level you want. They will still ride great for you. Make sure you lower to the recomended level tho otherwise you could really fugg something up
I have H&R Sports, and my front struts are completely gone and I have that slamming problem (Boston roads suck). Should I go with full coilovers, all 4 shocks (koni yellow, kyb, tokico, any other recommendations?) or just the front 2 shocks? I'd like to save $ if possible, but I want my car to ride well. What do you guys recommend?
More Like all roads in Massachusettes Suck. I've had my Pro-Kit On for 8 months & 2 of my shocks are already Leaking. I'm Just gonna get the Tein's, I'm not sure I like the idea of hacking my front housing apart to get the Koni's in. sounds like to much work.

that's what I said...screw the koni's!
with their design, you have no opportunity to go back to stock...you'd have to buy new stock struts.
because the tein's are prone to rust (i was talking to a sales person, and they openly admitted it...they suggested the flex instead), I want to go back to stock for the winter.
they use a LOT of salt up here in ottawa during the winters...the tein's wouldn't stand a chance.
so...I can easily go back to riding on the stock stuff for the winter. Sure, it'll be 4X4 style, but at least I won't ruin my Tein's
