I get a popping noise now after i installed new oem struts and oem ball bearing rings!

I removed the assembly and checked the spring seat..its sitting nice and not rubing anything! What else could it be?

did u check if the arrows on the top matched up on the sides? i had the same noise when it didnt match up.

thanks for the info. i have neuspeed race springs in transit (looks like you have neuspeeds). i was prepared to take to them to get professonally done, but now that ive seen this, i feel confident i can do it. i didnt know it would be that easy.

Should the arrows point towards each other or should they be on opposite sides from eachother??

i installed them so the top hat arrow is facing the rim and the collar seat arrow is facing in toward the top hat arrow.....i have it so the 2 arrow tips "touch"

Do the arrows supposed to point toward the same direction?

returning my suspension to stock from coilovers and ran into a problem with the fronts. I have everything lined up but i need the brake assembly to drop lower to line up the crash bolts, installing the coilovers was easy because the actual shocks are shorter in length i have no clue how to lower the brake assembly enough to line up the crash bolts because I;m also afraid of popping the axle out if I push it down to far. its like the spring needs to be compressed so the shock moves up but I have no clue how to do this with everything disassembled, I feel like a rookie figured this would take me 2 hours for all 4 corners, had no problems installing the coilovers. any help would be greatly apprecited I reinstalled my coilovers for the time being, until i figure this out or end up have to take it to a shop, thanks boys

if the front knuckle bolts are not lining up, then the cv joint is not properly aligned to the drive shaft. i do remember having to play with it a bit to get it properly seated into the drive shaft.

It may be easier to do this on a rack. I had the same problem a while ago. The LCA doesn't drop down far enough because it adapted to the shortened position of the coilovers.

Your other option is to loosen up the LCA bolts, which will allow you to push down on the hub/LCA so you have more room.

ye I figured that might have happened I'll let the mechanics deal with it, hopefully they dont run into any problems that costs me more money to return it to stock suspension.

I do have a question how do you know if you ruined the CV joint?

I am asking because I slipped and let the passenger side slip while removing the strut. When I picked it up I could feel the axle slide back into the tranny I think. I has me scared. Please help!!!!!!!!!!
